I have already prepared my application.  I am just waiting to submit on August 19. I am sending 1 bank statement per year, home insurance, car insurance, trips we've  taken over the last 3 years including hotel stays and international flights, telephone bills (we share a phone plan) and a few photos. Oh I am also sending a copy of my daughter's birth certificate. I am planning to take documents for two properties that we own together just in case they need more proof. We were not required to remove conditions as we were married more than 2 years before I got my green card.

Hi Team! I have just received approval for my i-751, hoping to receive 10 year GC in the mail in the next 2 weeks. Have started on collecting all the evidence possible for this :) YET AGAIN lol. And planning to apply in the next 2 weeks. (I am already eligible since this past February - just been waiting for i-751). Thank you for starting this thread and looking forward to soaking in all the info - for one last USCIS application process (hopefully!).

Hello everyone!

This morning I submitted my N400 Application online. I read multiple posts about filing N400 while waiting on I751 and decided that it is wise to file instead of waiting. My I751 file is in Potomac and they are working on June 2018 cases right now. So I am hoping either I get my 10 years GC before my N400 interview or they both are adjudicated at the same time (sometime next year). Fingers crossed.

My timeline:

July 2015 -Married US Citizen

Sept 2015- Applied for GC

Nov 2016- Got conditional GC

Aug 2018- Applied for I751 (Houston)

June 2019- Case transferred to Potomac

July 2019- Biometrics Aug 2019- Eligible for N400 and filed online.

Hi all,

Just applied for naturalization this morning, so thought I'd change over from the I-751 forum finally :)I was waiting on ROC since August last year, including an initial 3 months without the I-797 receipt, which was horribly nerve wracking. Received my green card in the mail a couple of weeks ago, and became eligible for naturalization yesterday (90 days prior to 3 year permanent resident anniversary).

In my application I included copies of the green card, marriage certificate, 4 years of jointly filed tax returns (only requires 3 but whatever), my husbands US passport page and US birth certificate, and then as evidence of marriage I just updated what I provided for I-751 ROC, so statements of joint bank account every 3 months from 2015 to present, copies of joint lease on our apartment, joint vehicle insurance, beneficiary information for both our retirement accounts and annotated personal photos of us from 2012 to present. I could have included more, but I've read that anything you supply now only has to be updated in your file when you go for the interview, so I felt this was a good start.

Just waiting on biometrics appointment notification, they reused my biometrics from my original GC application 3 years ago for the ROC due to the backlog (didn't stop them keeping the biometrics fee, however...), so it's been a while since I did them.  Looking forward to the next year to complete this final step! I can't believe it was in 2014 when I first asked for an advisory opinion on my J1 status, and realized the government had incorrectly identified me as being subject to the 2 year home presence requirement. To prevent being deported I had to fight through the mess of trying to prove them wrong, then finally agreeing they were right (they weren't), getting a waiver, adjusting status, getting a conditional green card, the holdup in removing conditions, and now the final application. I'm exhausted and broke from lawyer and filing fees, and can't wait for this to be eventually over!

Rob

We are also filing N-400 this month. I am curious if anyone used the online application? Or just sent in paper? I have pretty much all the paperwork (from an extra copy I made for the I-751). Also have scanned .pdfs saved. But what a load of "uploading." It looks like the "online" applications go much faster. Thanks in advance.

I did online filing and suggest you doing as well. :) It's simple and easy. You can even create a draft application now and submit when you are eligible (the system won't let you submit application until you are eligible anyways). The draft application gets saved for a month from the last you edited it.
