My wife had her medical done before her K3 interview and got no Vaccination as it was not a requirement but i was thinking since she has been put on AP and has some time in Pakistan, can she go the same doctor and get the Vaccination Suppliment done over there for her AOS?

What do you think? Has anyone else done that?

Can ge vaccinations done, but they will need to be transfered to a supplement in the USA by a civil surgeon for AOS.

We had the vaccinations done shortly after K-1 visa interview, the medical center gave my wife and international vaccinations book, which we had to have the data transfered to a by a CS supplement for AOS filing.

Which Vaccinations does she have to get? If it has to be transfered anyway should I have her go to any doctor overthere or the one that the Embassy had advised?

  • mumps, measles, rubella OR MMR
  • tetanus and diphtheria toxoids
  • varicel

Any doctor can do the vaccinations, just needs to be properly documented for the Civil Surgeon in the USA to accept and transfer to the supplement.

I called my County office and they said they will do the mmr and tetnus for $15 now to find out about the varicel, then maybe I can mail it to the Civil surgeon in Texas that transfers all of this for $10

If your spouse had Chicken Pox when young and this is documented then perhaps that will be accepted in place of a Varicella vaccination. Sometimes you can be tested for this also.

My understanding is that chicken pox is the only vaccination for which verbal declaration is accepted. Im not sure but i think a blood test which prooves the existence of antibodies can also be accepted but do confirm this information from another source. Checkout the link of the place where I got my medical done here in Toronto for info on immunization. http://www.panelphysicians.com/Pages/Immunizations.htm

Khurram, yes after she gets the vaccinations you can mail it to the civil surgeon

in Tx. for $10. You will get a sealed I693 for AOS submission, ask for a copy

for yourself.

And yes a blood titre can be made to determine if she had the chicken pox but they

will accept her word for it.

If she gets the shots in Pakistan remember some may not be readily available

in some countries. They are expensive here but the $15 health department fee is a very good deal.

You are working ahead I see :)
