I make descent $ Sir

But descent isnt enough when it cost $10.000.00 more than planned to get your fiance and son here. Not counting $1.200.00 for a service that failed miserably

at giving us professional direction in our Visa process.

The costs of Immigration are very high, absolutely.

We don’t know why you ended up $10,000 over budget, maybe your case was not as straightforward as you might have thought (and maybe the assistance from Rapid Visa was not necessarily bad, but needed in your specific case?).

All water under the bridge now but you really should not want to postpone the Adjustment of Status because you will lose money each month that it will take to process it too. Your wife will not be able to work for such a long time as it is already. And having her able to work will get the both of you back on your feet financially as soon as possible.

And needless to say, their legal status is of utmost importance!

There is a small risk of deportation as was mentioned by a previous poster.  What part of the K-1 process required a stay in a Manila hotel for 10 months?

Finally done...

That was my first thought. Is that what it was for? If so I don't see how that was RV's fault. Not that I am a RV apologist)

Was denied visa because of home birth of son. Pictures destroyed in flood of son , had birth certificate but not enough evidence for embassy. Then we did DNA after waiting for months after giving new proof but yet denied again.  Should have been told by RV to get DNA months ago . And was made to do TB test the first time and past which was several months. Then when medical expired in 6months wait in Manila, they requested new medical test and again though proven negative TB the first time , they made her go thru process again which took several more months. So those who dont know our battle know a bit more now.

We should have been told by RV to do a DNA on son before we even interviewed the first time since he was born at home. And making her and son do 2 medicals in just a 6 month time frame , and knowing she past the TB test the first time was wrong. So thats our story. Thanks

There are many, many loan companies out there.........honestly, there are zero benefits in waiting to file AOS.......zero......

I'm curious.......what did Rapid Visa tell you about Adjustment of Status?

Your child and yourself might be eligible to receive some benefits, food stamps, etc.  Please verify if you are with your state agency. This would free up some funds to pay the AOS.

Your church might also have a food pantry or other services.

We have been married now since July 2018. But getting my wife and son here because of bad direction from Rapid Visa and 10 month stay in Manila hotel and cost we have yet to afford $ 2.500 plus to file AOS. My question is > are they at risk of deportation? And how long will they allow us ?

Thanks for your replies and God Bless you all. God got them here and Im sure God will help me thru this costly process.

They currently have no legal status to be here and they are at risk of arrest and possible deportation.  You need to do whatever it takes to get their AOS paperwork filed ASAP.

A lecture:  It is on YOU the USC to take care of the people you are responsible for and it is your (all of our) moral duty to get this done.  It is fundamentally wrong to bring someone here to our country and put them in immigration limbo.

While you are at it also file for EAD and Advance Parole so she can work, drive and travel.  Even one unnecessary day of that type of limbo is also wrong.

Good luck.
