Hey guys,

So I had my interview to adjust my status from K1 to become a permanent resident in March of this year. Attended the biometrics before, the interview went alright, and I later received a letter of approval, as well as my permanent residence card. I received a letter this morning telling me to attend an initial interview in August. I'm so very confused!

Has this happened to anyone else?? Maybe I'm missing something here!

Thanks :)

I believe yours is the 3rd of 4th post like this in the past week.  It must be some type of clerical/software error.

sounds like the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing

Typical government

When i got my first passport ,  it had my mom's birthdate as mine

and i returned it

i got the corrected one about 2 weeks later

and then got a letter saying the 1st one was correct and that the US government did not make mistakes

Haha of course they don't! *eye roll* I'm guessing it's a screw up on their end based on the previous reply.

So glad I'm not the only one with this problem.  I was calling them to make sure everything was ok but not sure how to get past the recorded options.  I got 2 cancellations already and 1 interview letter, hope that's the last of it.
