Pictures will not suffice for evidence of meeting. That is secondary evidence. You need to provide passport stamps, flight itenerary/tickets, hotel receipts, receipts in general, etc.

Thank you Ashley! I read the instructions for the form (see attached picture), and I thought the written description of our last meetings, pictures and the official arrival/ departure form would be enough 🥴 I collected other evidence but my fiancé thought it would be a bit weird to send a bunch of old tickets and receipts. He said the pictures will do. Now that I’m on here I begin to doubt that it’ll do. So I’m gonna collect more evidence, oh well.. have a nice weekend.

Hi there, I was wondering what kind of evidence/ proof you submitted, instead of pictures? I am getting scared that we made a bunch of mistakes with our package. I am thinking about getting further proof or additional documentation, before we get an RFE. We submitted everything that was requested on the Official website of the government, but here on the forum I see people handed in things such as e.g. a cover letter, which we did not hand in. For proof of the relationship we submitted 60 pictures, and i wrote on the back where and when the pictures were taken. Since we have done a lot of trips over the years, there are a bunch of pictures in different locations and of different things. I didn’t want to include too much personal information, so we did not include a letter written by a friend or family member. I wrote a longer letter of intent to marry, with a timeline of our relationship. Now I see examples of the letter of intend on here, and they are usually just one or two sentences. I really wish I had known about the website in advance, but I am trying now so I’m very thankful for advise or further information. THank you

At the I-129F petition phase there are two main requirements;

1)  Proof of having met in person within 2 years of filing the I-129F

2)  Both parties are free to marry at the time of filing.

For #1 primary proof would be boarding passes from your travels, passport stamps, receipts.  secondary evidence would be pictures together.

For #2  evidence would be copies of divorce decrees or death certificates if married before.  Plus each person must sign and submit a Letter of Intent to marry; a short and to the point letter.

THAT'S IT!

Not trying to prove an ongoing relationship .. yet .. that is for the embassy phase.   And yes I do hear of some embassies being difficult so people front load ..  not sure one that one.

Scan them and print them 4-6 to a page ...  make it as easy as possible  for the officer to get the information.. write or type date place event etc underneath each one

We had a very smooth process BUT your advice goes against the one hiccup we had: DON'T print the pictures!

They were concerned that my now-husband did not have "real" printed photographs. We did the print and write beside/below method.

My advice? Take real photos! You can easily glue them, right?

Every photo that is printed on a sheet could be printed as a separate "real" photo. It's beyond highly unusual for them to question the authenticity of a photo based on whether it was printed to a sheet or glued. These aren't verifiable documents, issued by an authority.

Seriously?

"They" is the "they" everyone on this dang thread is referring too. Why even ask me that. (2 clicks for you to see my stats is quicker than a needless paragraph reply from me)

The Turkish embassy doesn't formally request "real" photos, but they gave my fiancé a hard time about it. "They" asked where the real pictures are, why he didn't haven any printed out (oops, there is that infamous "they" again - slaps own hand - I mean "the interviewer") I mean, there was no denial because of it, but hey we were asked our opinions and experiences and I gave ours!

I honestly think it was not about the photos per se being an issue. Sometimes interviewers choose something randomly to do a more "in depth" questioning and from the answers/attitude/reaction, assess the validity of the relationship -which is basically the main objective-.

We sent the dates of our visits and the corresponding passport stamps, and that’s it.  My husband is from New Zealand, which is a low-fraud country, so front-loading the petition was not necessary.  No issues at all.

We wrote a simple joint letter of intent and both signed it.

Firstly,  the OP is assembling the petition for the USCIS.   Secondly, how does your experience in Turkey relate to the OP.  Is the OPs fiancee from Turkey?

Talk about needless mixing of apples and oranges
