Good day everyone!

I have been in a relationship with my American boyfriend for almost 3 years now. He will come visit next year and he told me that he wants us to get married here in Philippines, a civil wedding probably. I would like to ask if it is possible for us to get married even if it is just the first time that we meet?

I would appreciate any answers. Thank you and have nice day! :)

I am a US citizen and just married my fiance on 7-5-2019 on Mindanao. It took us 4 weeks for the wedding. I had to go to the US Embassy first to get a “Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage" then off to her city to apply for the marriage license(check your local laws to see how long this takes), when you get your approval you need to find a judge to marry you. I would recommend he visit you once before you marry if possible. You will need to establish a physical relationship for a successful CR1. Hope this helps.

There's a few more options than just judge for civil ceremony.  We used the Mayor......If you like long campaign speeches as part of your wedding day, that's always an option.  He worked cheap though :)
