Change of address after becoming a US Citizen

Hello,

I got naturalized to a US citizen a few years ago.

Now I need a certified true copy of my certificate of naturalization. In order to obtain this, I need to setup an Infopass appointment with USCIS as you can see in the following link.

https://www.uscis.gov/tools/how-do-i-customer-guides/how-do-i-guides-us-citizens/how-do-i-obtain-certified-true-copies-certificate-naturalization

Earlier this year, USCIS has changed how Infopass appointments can be scheduled. They don't allow us to schedule the appointments ourselves. Instead, we need to call the USCIS.

So I called them. After a brief hold of 30 min, I talked to a customer service agent, saying that USCIS will call me back within a few days to setup the appointment. After a few days, I finally received the call. Unfortunately, they can only schedule the Infopass appointments in the field office that is associated with my recorded address.

I am now trying to update my address. However, the AR 11 form (online and to-be-mailed form) seems to be only applicable for non-us citizens. How can I update my address at USCIS such that I can setup my Infopass appointment at the correct USCIS field office?

I am not sure, why you need a certified true copy of naturalization certificate.  You can notarized at any place.  Without original certificate, any other form of naturalization certificate is useless whoever issued it.

If you lost it and need to replace it, you need to pay around $700 to get one and will take 7-8 months

Why can't you just file a N-565?

It is for the Dutch consulate. They need an authenticated "Apostilled" certification of naturalization.

My understanding is that we are not allowed to make copies of the certificate of naturalization unless it is for USCIS or DOS.

You may also be eligible to apply for a special certificate of naturalization as a U.S. citizen to be recognized by a foreign country.

Ah, that makes more sense, yes. Instructions here: https://www.uscis.gov/tools/how-do-i-customer-guides/how-do-i-guides-us-citizens/how-do-i-obtain-certified-true-copies-certificate-naturalization

I'd call the misinformation line and try speaking to someone more competent than the first person. Clarify you're a citizen so you're not required to file COAs.
