Became citizen yesterday with I751 still open!

Finally took Oath yesterday at Newark, NJ and became a Citizen! Also my I-751 is still open (lol) but not going to care about that.

Are you sure they didn't give you a combo interview.

I wouldn't laugh, they can revoke your citizenship stating you did not qualify with pending I-751. You need to make sure that it has been approved.

They can't approve N-400 without I-751 approval.   They might have approved I-751 in the background, but forgot to update it online or did not bother to send your notice.  But usually ,  you will see I-751 approval notification and followed by N-400 approval after N-400 interview if you went to interview with spouse and your I-751 in the local office with N-400.   It happens to several of Philly applicants including me.  Just for your information, my N-400 interview was on June 28, 2019.  No I-751 interview , IO told , he will review it.  Did not approve N-400 on the same day, approved I-751 on July 3 around 10 AM and then N-400 around 12 noon.  GC came on 12th.  Went for Oath on July 15, 2019 and returned 10 year GC.
