I received my approval on 9th August, haven’t heard anything yet but it did say on the letter that if I haven’t had my case number through in 5 weeks to contact them. I’ll post on as soon as I receive mine.

Congratulations on your NOA2! 5 weeks for a case number just seems such a long time, hopefully you don't have to wait that long.

Thank you for the update, look forward to hearing how you get on!

Feeling quite anxious and nervous. Our NOA1 was dated June 11th and we still haven’t gotten anything in the mail yet this week. The website said last Friday that they were on June 10th so I thought for sure we’d have it by now.

I wonder what could could be the hold up. Really hope it makes an appearance today. Why does the case number not come with the NOA2? What comes in the post with the NOA2 then?

I wouldn't be too worried. Between Royal Mail taking a while (even within London itself it took a them 2 days to deliver) and them sometimes taking a bit (in our case they reached just up to our date on Friday, but didn't get round to our application until Tuesday) it can take a while.

The case number doesn't come with the NOA2 because the NOA2 is given by USCIS, and the actual case for the visa is with the immigrant visa unit at the consulate. Different ministerial departments, where one hands over to the other.

Thank you. I hope it’ll come soon. We’ve been in the middle of moving to a temporary flat owned by my husbands uncle, selling everything, packing, and moving our poor little doggies. It’s just been so stressful. I though this would be a good way to end a stressful week.

Fingers crossed! You might get it in the mail tomorrow?

How are you getting along with gathering the documents for the interview?

I’m hoping that we’ve got everything. We had my sister fill out the affidavit of support to be a join sponsor because we weren’t sure if I’d be working in the states by the time his interview comes but I’m thinking now I will be since I’m leaving the U.K. on the 6th and starting work on the 9th.

I have a letter of intent from my principal at my school with my salary information and start date.

Looking ahead, what else will we need other than that?

It might be worth having a look at the police report already ( https://www.acro.police.uk ) since it takes over two weeks, and it will be needed for the medical.

Other things that are required for the medical are the vaccination history and the summary care records (medical summary from the GP). In case a booster shot is needed for TDap, this can also be done at the GP under the NHS and saves some money.

Oh yes!  We already have the police check.

How recent does the booster shot need to be? I know he had one in 2015 when he came to the states in his K1. I’ll have him get a summary of his records from his GP.

Ah ok! Then he should be fine. You only need one in the past 10 years.

Ok good.

Im just so confused as to why it’s not here. When we mailed everything off, the woman at the post office put a tracking number on our self addressed envelope and I just tried tracking it and there’s nothing yet.

Did you add posyptage to your self addressed envelope?  I can’t r embers if we did or not I’m sitting here going over and over everything. I’m so worried now

Yeah, we just put a normal first class stamp on it; no tracking or anything.

I'm actually not sure tracking works unless you hand it over at a post office. I don't think it works if it's just put in a mailbox.
