Hello! Please I want to know...

For those that filed I-129F (K3 spouse): Do you think it was worth it?
For those that believe I-129F (K3 spouse) is not a good choice, why do you think that?

The K3 is not a good choice because it is rarely issued. I mean almost single digits last year

K3 is dead. 99% of the time they will reject the K-3 application and just let the I-130 runs its course.

If you are following the Nebraska K3 discussions, go ahead and try.  Worst thing is that you get a K3 early and have to AOS and pay more.  There is no filing fee.

No

We saved a few weeks (not true anymore) but Nita was very bored waiting for her EAD card and SS card so she could get a drivers license.  It was a tough period.

It is better to arrive on an immigrant visa where you can move on with life.

This has been  all over every Immigration group, support group IO  am connected to (alot) and this is my response to the filing of the I-129F. No one is getting a k3 just to let you know that's not the goal.

This is a small window of time. Trust me once word gets out and all the hundreds of people start filing those I129F's it's right back to a backlog.
The issue is there aren't enough people/adjudicators for the process. Thank Tillerson for that who cut H
omeland Security in half while petition filing rose 400%
This "trick" is only working for Nebraska and only been working since January.
Those who want to file need to do it now not later.
You know no good thing last long in immigration. :)

He's talking about married people filing the I-129F after they have filed their I-130 to try and go the K3 path. What the Nebraska service center has been doing to some is Denying (closing) the I-129F then approving the I-130. Right now Nebraska's processing is at 11 to 14 months.

I know what he is talking about and we were K3 applicants.  Back then, you filed 130, waited for the receipt, filed 129F, got a quicker ride through.  Issued a K3 even though the 129F and 130 were combined and approved the same day.  So we received one.  Adjusted status from that.

OP asked was it worth it.  My answer is no, don’t even try.

Shortly after we got our K3 they started doing what they do now - approve the 130 and kill the 129F.

I think it’s a waste of time, but I have seen it all over immigration groups.

What is waste of time is do nothing and obediently wait out till Nebraska approves you after a year or more.
