Does anyone have an educated guess as why Vermont kicks out NOA2 approvals within days after first NOA? Why doesn't Vermont take some of the heat and help out those other service centers that are inudated with K1 visa apps? We all paid the same fee in filing K1. I know others have waited a whole heck of a lot longer than me and they must be even more irritated at the disperity of the service centers approval days namely California versus Vermont.

But my thoughts of you keep you close to

If I had to take an educated guess...from all I have read it seems that each service center does do things differently to a degree which could explain in the most part. Over the years USCIS has forwarded many many memos etc to the service centers, many of which are interpreted differently between centers..each center operates then on those interpretations. Vermont operates very efficiently.....not that it necessarily has less petitions. IMO other service centers need to get their acts together on the top level so the centers run more efficiently. Forwarding petitions to VSC just because they do, is not going to solve the problem. There needs to be more of a standard across all centers. If I can find the source of my info in my files I will post it.

Those going through CSC in particular have a damm good right to vent.....it sucks. Perhaps instead of once getting the visa and forgetting about it, more should document and write their congressman. Even better, someone organising a petition so it can be sent to all congressman regardless of which state members live in, detailing everything. Nothing is going to change otherwise.

*hugs* to all waiting.

I would like to ask you, do you think that congressman will help? We have been waiting for more than 5 months for our NOA2 and contacted the congressman finally last week, I know you have searched a lot, do you know how he can help us? Im loosing my hopes slowly, but still trying to be strong, its hard as Im sad and frustrated every single day seeing another people getting their approvals in 80 days now and beeing without my loved one for a long time.

If I took a guess at why Vermont is faster it would be because the states that it governs are a lot smaller in comparision to how big the other states are that the other service centres govern. So i would think that there would be less people than going through vermont. just my two cents. Either way i'm happy since vermont is my centre. I can see why people from other places get so ticked. it isn't fair that others have to wait 3 months when some are a month. vermont should take on more states.

awwwwwww *hugs* I can only imagine how frustrating it is for you. As for contacting your congressman....all they can do is get a lil more information then you can. If you are stuck in security checks there is nothing that a congressman can do to make it go any faster at this stage. Security checks will be completed when they are completed. You hang in there (F)

The states maybe smaller in size, but they have alot of people. I don't know for sure if Vermont has less petitions, but I doubt it. I agree with the other posts in that Vermont is just more efficient and there should be some uniformity in how the service centers process the petitions.
