Hi everybody!

We have filed the I-130 in Frankfurt back in June. My husband (US-citizen)  had to leave already to the states.

The process might take much longer than we thought, so I would really like to visit him with our daughters (both US citizens as well)

Does anybody on here know how they handle travelling to the US while your immigration case it pending? I am reading conflicting statements online...

I still have a job here and a household so not planning on staying of course - just visiting for 2 weeks.

Has anybody done this?

Thank you!

There is already a huge ongoing thread about this topic.

Yes, a lot of people have done this and is it very possible to visit.

You already mentioned the job and household, make sure that you can provide evidence of your ties back home in case this evidence is asked for at point of US entry when you visit.

what kind of conflicting information did you see online?

I read about somebody being denied at the border. But this was in another form in an older post - still left me a little concerned.

But thank you for your answer! I am relieved!

That is a risk that is always there, it all

has to do with the fact how big the CO thinks the risk is that the person will overstay. Everybody’s case is different and I am sure that people have been denied entry in more recent past too.

Just make sure to come prepared (also bring copies of your NOA 1 and 2 if you have those already).

I visited my husband around 6 times during our Immigration process on an Esta without any issues 👍🏻
