I-134 Real Estate Info

If I make above the poverty line (https://aspe.hhs.gov/2019-poverty-guidelines), then I can omit my real estate information (questions 8 and 9 on page 3) and leave that entire section blank, even if I own my house? I asked a similar question on the asset information, and just want reassurance that I am OK leaving this blank.

Same for the values of my savings/checking and stocks and life insurance, I can leave those blank too even if I have them? (questions 4 through 7 on page 3)

The form instructions are quite lacking, but from all I've read it seems fine to leave blank, although some people seem to provide everything regardless of their situation. While we have nothing to hide, it just becomes a pain to gather and provide more financial documents.

Thank you!

Thank you!

My fiancé made above the poverty limit so we left all of those questions about real estate, etc blank and it was not a problem!

Thanks for your reply.

The instructions are so vague. We may just include the info to be safe.

I would not include real estate information unless you're prepared to provide the documentation showing the worth.  That means a professional assessment of value minus the mortgage = asset value.  Honestly unless you need to use more than your income, don't.

Ok, makes sense. We'll leave that section blank. Thanks for the reply. I didn't have a professional assessment, just copied a document from the house sale and a current mortgage.

Does the same apply for my stocks, bank account, etc.? I printed out online statements but do I need more evidence? Or better just to leave that blank since I'm above the poverty income (and have 3 yrs of tax transcripts)?

Interview is next Wednesday! So we just are making sure we have everything right. We don't want to chance it but leaving things blank, but if it's ok or better that way we will. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Maybe we're overthinking and should just leave it blank?

Bank accounts are easy to include but the rest I wouldn't bother.

Ok, so we plan on supplying the following info on our I-134. Does this seem fine? Values omitted online for the $xxxxx.

3. Annual income: $xxxxx

*tax transcript printed to go along with our documents

4. Balance of savings/checkings: $xxxxx

*account statements printed to go along with our documents

5. Value of personal property: [blank]

6. Value of stocks/bonds: [blank]

7: Life insurance: [blank]

8/9: Real estate: [blank]

I'm looking at this table for the poverty guideline, and since my annual income is well above it, that's what I'm basing my decision to not provide all the other info.

1

$12,490

2

$16,910

https://aspe.hhs.gov/2019-poverty-guidelines

Does this all sound like a good form? We really appreciate the help! This form is so vague and frustrating.

I am so frustrated with this form also!

How did your interview go? Did they question why the I-130 was blank on the mortgage section? Were you approved despite this?

No, that part is generally only required if the USC makes less than poverty level and needs to show they can provide support. Most people where the USC makes over poverty don't enter info and it's fine.

I'm not sure if you literally meant leave it blank, but I recommend putting N/A. I recommend not leaving anything blank, but especially that part as you're listing that it's not applicable to your case, rather than you don't have real estate.

Sorry for the late reply. Interview went well, no questions whatsoever regarding income, property, etc. Just got notified we're approved so all is well. Good luck!
