Terror Plot Thwarted at JFK

NEW YORK -- According to NewsChannel4's Jonathan Dienst, sources said federal investigators have made arrests in an alleged terror plot on Kennedy Airport.Four people have been charged. One is in custody in New York. Three suspects are thought to be overseas.Sources said a cargo worker at JFK allegedly began to plot attacking the US last July or August. The cargo worker sought help in carrying out a plan and went to an FBI informant, who gathered information about the plot.involved a plan to blow up a jet-fuel pipeline at JFK setting off a potential massive explosion.Aviation officials said there is no major threat to air travel related to this plot.One law enforcement official said: "[There was] credible intent to commit violence but it was not operational."A press conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. this afternoon.

it's actually very sobering. i think people in the nyc metro area are the only people in america who have a truly personal stake in the WOT.

It's easier to infiltrate a city full of foreigners. If Mohammed bin Jihad and his buddies

showed up in Smalltown, Nowhere, USA, they'd look like monkeys in the zoo.

They could target Chicago or Indianapolis (very easy for Islamists to blend in there) or even Minneapolis which is also full of foreigners. I don't think it's the "blending in" thing. It's the "prestige" of inflicting harm on the Big Apple or DC.
