AP suddenly changed

Hey guys, 

so I don’t know if any of you can remember but I had my interview last month and things went weird. They told me I got the wrong form, (I hadn’t) and issued me with a 221g requesting the I864 form and tax transcript. 

With some help from some of the awesome peeps on here I emailed the embassy, last week they replied saying they was looking into the matter. Then this morning, I’ve checked the site on the off chance of a change.  And the whole things has changed.  Could anybody give me a in site into what may of happened? 

It’s still in AP, but it’s gone from immigrant to non immigrant application at the top and also it’s changed the k2s into ap.  as well as a whole new case date.

K visas are technically nonimmigrant visas so my guess is that they sorted out your file and they are moving forward with final processing.

The ready is the previous status it was at.  They’ve now all changed to ap

Nita’s visa switched to AP after the interview and before “issued”

If they’ve moved it to NIV then they’ve approved and have sent it to the NIV unit for processing. AP are the final processing done on the NIV side before issuance. You should see “issued” in a few days.

Hi Ashweehee,

just wondering when you got you visa status changed to issued. 

 

My K1 status changed from immigrant to non-immigrant yesterday and is in administrative processing, I’m really hoping it comes through by Friday and super nervous about the whole thing.

A lot less to be nervous about once it switches to non-immigrant.
