Can anyone tell me if they got a e-mail notice on thier NOE2 before getting it in snail mail?

also those of you that got NOE2 already that was pretty fast, did u notice if you had a lot or a little amount of handling of your file. I think they call them touches? I have had NOE1 on the 9th and they touched it on the 15th and nothing since.

I ask do to having a NOE1 to NOE2 in 22 days 3 yrs. ago and it seems like they are slower now.

I think you mean NOA, not NOE.

Yes usually you get 2 mails stating that you got NOA2,latly there has been a little bit of delay on the USCIS websites though.

Yes and the touches,some people get them some dont,so if you dont see any touches then it is no big deal.Generally Vermont is pretty fast,but I would wait a little longer.

I think you mean NOA, not NOE.

Thank you Yes sorry its NOA and as far as the time line they say they are looking at Nov 13, 06 files and when I called they said they would not even be looking at my file for about 6 month but there are many people that have NOA2 within 2 months so I do not trust their time line at all. Just hope they are wrong on the 6 month wait. Only thing that I can think of that would hold it up is that I had been approved 3 yrs ago and maybe they will look into it more. But everythink is clear and it seem so simple last time I did this.

I am just very frustrated that we all are trying to do this the right way and seem to be penalized while they have thousands of people walking across our borders every day and getting all kinds of benefits from the U.S. and we all worry about not getting approvals and deportation of or loved ones. I am a U.S. citizen and feel like I have fewer rights in my own country.

Reading your last post seem to me that it was my fiance the one who wrote that. You have to have a lot of patience in this process, it takes some months but we thing that doing the right thing is all the time better and will pay some day.

Most of the time people got the NOA2 by email before the snail mail. In our case we search every day the USCIS web page to see what was going on and there we saw the approval before we got the email and the snail mail.

Do not worry for doing the right thing, we had all this waiting, he is finally coming to go together to the US, but let me tell you that i did not have any problem at the interview. Try to visit your loved one to cut the distance.

We didnt get an e-mail or snail mail. Just the NVC letter... 6 months is a CYA answer. If you are going through CSC, the average time is around 3 months and shorter for Vermont.

Thank you all for all the words of encouragement; this is a great web site. Like I said I did this 3 years ago and it seemed so easy it just didn’t work out with us on her 3 month stay. I kind of knew it at the time before she came but I gave it a try anyway. I know that now because my fiancée Lena is perfect for me and me for her. That makes this wait so much harder but in the long run it will worth more than I could ever imagine.

You're not being penalized if you're doing things the right way. Yes, I know this is a frustrating process but everyone of us on here have been through this in some form or fashion. You can't compare the process now to what it was in the past. Things have changed a lot and you just have to bear with it. At least by doing things the right and legal way you won't have to worry about being an illegal.
