Timeline

Does anybody know how much time would commisonaires take to mail the police clearance certificate? Secondly, i am confused do we need police clearance at NVC stage or the interview stage for Canada?

My husband got his in a week. You need the police clearance for both.

the commissionaires won't be sending you the certificate. they will forward your application to RCMP and once RCMP is done with their checks, they will issue your certificate and mail it to you. 

 

i did mine with novel notary and i received the RCMP certificate in 1.5weeks.

 

i only need the certificate for my interview as indicated in packet 3/4. nvc never asked for any documents in our case.

It just comes reg mail? I went on the 4th and leave for Montreal the 16th. I sure hope it comes in time with Thanksgiving!

how did you submit your IV package with no police check? i thought you had to send that in before the interview gets scheduled

I’m expedited so I went through I130 approval to interview in 2.5 weeks.
