Admin Processing After Interview

My husband's medical information was forwarded to the US Embassy in London June20. He completed his interview on June25 and was given a form 221g because they hadn't yet received his medical. I'm assuming that now, being 3 weeks later that they have everything to finish his visa but he's still in this black hole called "administrative processing". I'm so frustrated and feel defeated not knowing how long this will take.

In 2 weeks it will be 1 year ago that we applied for his spousal visa. I don't understand why its taking so long. Everyone I follow on visa journey coming from England got there passport back just days after their interview. I feel like there is no end in sight and nobody can tell me when we'll move out of Admin Processing. Is there anyone I can call to talk to????

Take a deep breath and try to relax. They needed the medical, and it takes time to process any documents received after the interview. Your case isn't out of typical processing timelines for a missing document.

 

There are people who are in AP alone for over a year right now. Many have had to wait 2, 3, or more years for a spouse. I understand a few weeks longer isn't pleasant, but it's manageable. It likely won't be much longer.

Edit: And to answer yor question directly, there's nobody to reach out to right now. They need to do their thing. If it goes on beyond normal timelines, then you can contact the embassy and/or a congressperson to try to request the reason why it's in AP still. It won't speed things up, but hopefully would provide clarity as to why.
