When did you apply for the 129f?

Based on the 7.5-9.5 month processing times stated, at the earliest we may hear something is March..... if it helps to cut just a few months off the year at Nebraska it’s at least something 🤞🏻

But I totally get exactly how you’re feeling too. So just reassuring you, you’re not alone in this journey!

Aug 15, 2019! March would be amazing really.. you gave me a tiny bit of hope which I needed. Thank you and good luck! If anything happens with my case I’ll post about it here 🙂

I will like to apply for a US tourist visa to visit my wife in the US since it looks like its gonna be a long waiting process. Have anyone here applied for a US tourist visa or traveled to visit their partner in the US?

I applied for a tourist visa while I-130 pending and got approved. I visited my husband for Christmas and New Years and now I’m back to my home country. You can give it a try. I went for the tourist visa interview with no hope as everyone said I’m not going to get it but still try cause there’s nothing to lose other than $160 so I tried. I suggest you do that too. Go for the interview with your employers letter stating you will join back office on *** date, bank statement (even though they didn’t ask any of the document to me) and other documents they may ask. Just be honest with all the questions. The person who was taking my interview asked if my I-130 was filed or not, when was it filed and why did we take 6 months to file I-130 after marriage, for how long I’ll stay in the us, what is my and my husband’s income, for how long I’ve been working in the same company and that’s it. My visa was approved. I was asked only one question at poe- for how long I’ll be staying in the states and my visa was stamped.

Even though I know we're lucky to have got one of the "faster" service centres, this process is certainly a real test of patience and resilience. I feel in a constant state of "limbo", always going back and forth between wanting to get all my documents ready for the NVC, to wanting to pack my house up, to thinking about how I'm going to finish working, and all that stressful stuff about moving, while constantly having to remind myself to be patient and wait out the process and just let things happen as they go because it could take the remainder of the year to even get to those other stages. I know so many people do this, and we're all going through the same, but I don't even know where to start with "getting ready" when we're still stuck waiting on approval.

It's such a weird mental place to be in, on top of the daily stress and anxiety of being apart from one another. Luckily my wife is coming here to visit in a few weeks, but even this makes me anxious about yet another dreaded goodbye until the next visit while we wait, if border patrol will let me in with this pending petition... it's such a strain, every fibre in my body just can't wait for the relief of all this being behind us.

This is exactly how I’m feeling. I spent 3 weeks with my husband for Christmas and New Years and we were hoping we would hear something by then but nothing. I know it is hard for everybody but for centers like Nebraska and California, you are mentally prepared that it IS going to take long, but having Potomac as your center and seeing everyone getting approved in 4-5 months, you get the hope that now it’s your turn and then you get no news whatsoever. I think this is more depressing. To wake up everyday wondering if you got the decision today and getting disappointed every single day with no news. We are somehow managing to cope up with this thinking we will be together by this year. It is just so difficult and one thing is for sure, this is the extreme level test of your love and patience.

Wow!. Some positive news at last to uplift me. This is so encouraging. Will give it a shot and see what happens. Cheers!

Once the I-130 is approved (for CR1 visa) is approved and we go on to the NVC stage, is this the correct website to find all the information regarding the papers we have to fill out?

Is anyone working on the NVC docs in advance (before i-130 approval)? 🤔
