So, your husband claims $49,000 a year income for the last year on his taxes? What numbers are for the 2017 and 2016 years? And the size of his household?

His only had this job now nearly 9 weeks. So the last 3 years of tax returns are from a different job and he earned around $21000. So his wage has improved drastically. It's only me, my husband and our un born baby lol

I'm not at the NVC stage. I've already had my Interview and they have my passport. I needed to submit a joint sponsor. Which I uploaded the documents this morning, but a couple later I received the email that's attached to this post. So got confused. Because it asks us to get a joint sponsor. And I already uploaded those documents lol

It’s possible the email was sent before they saw the new upload. So wait a few days and contact them.

Ok thank you. Could it also be that I may have put the documents under the wrong file name? He has a social security benefits letter saying what he gets and stuff. And I just see a file that says social security administrative earnings document. Should that have gone there?

I'm pretty sure you don't understand the printed instructions of the I-864 and did not submit proper I-864 packages. If any part is missing, then you get the rejection that makes it sound like nobody qualifies with enough $$$, when in fact they don't even look at the money until you get the required parts right. You have been asked in this forum what exactly was submitted and you have yet to state It clearly.

i would suggest instead of uploading scraps of this and that, that you start over with brand new complete paper affidavit of support packages, then contact the courier to pick them up and take to the London Immigrant Visa Unit.

Note: your household is 2 until the baby is born. You need IRS tax return transcripts for your husband.

Husband

  • Form I-864
  • 2018 tax return transcript from the IRS (Then you don't need W-2S) 2017, 2016 are optional.
  • Employer letter stating his position and that his salary is $49,000/yr
  • All the payslips he has accrued to date

Grandfather

  • Form I-864
  • Signed/dated statement "Statement of not filing taxes" as I explain to you yesterday. A note on the extra pages doesn't count.
  • Proof he is a US CITIZEN (birth certificate or passport biographical page)
  • Social security benefits statement
  • VA disability benefits statement

Please clarify:

Does grandfather have a spouse?

VA disability = $??

SSA retirement = $??

Ok thank you. I'll get all those together. I'm Sorry I come across stupid. His grandfather is married.

Va disability $3,227.58 monthly

ssa retirement $1,493 monthly.

It's a complicated thing and I can tell you are simply confused and it's better to reorganize it. I also did some edits and asked one more on Please clarify about your husband's. Read that.

It states his current income. And then asks for the last 3 years tax returns which were under the poverty line. But asks no more about his current income. He filled out the wrong affidavit of support form. Instead of the i1864 he filled out the i1864EZ. The interviewer said he needed a w2 and something about being self employed. But his employed by a company.  It's just all messy. Something I didn't want happening being so close to the babies birth.

What I am asking is --Does part 6, #7  "Current income" he filled in match  exactly what the employer letter says ? If he just came up with an estimate based on overtime or whatever, he has no documentation of a higher amount than what his employer says in a letter. So that item he fills in needs something that backs it up. Don't put anything higher in that line that what an employer says in a letter. Just checking your details.

He didn't upload an employer letter. But I'm asking him to get one.

Yep, that will do it. Wrong form, they'll kick it right back out without even looking at it.

Yeah I'm getting him to fill out the correct form when he finishes work. Not that I'm sure if it will make a difference now they want a joint sponsor.

Then that explains why they said W2 needed. They have nothing that shows $49,000 except what he filled in. Since his W2 does not say $49,000 then an employer letter is needed to prove it. I would still start over with a new organized package.
