Hi. Just checking if there are others with the same experience.

I had my interview last June 27, 2019. The consular officer said that my visa (k1) was approved and he gave me 2 pamphlets and a paper with the instructions on where to register my delivery address. However, a day after, my case went to AP and I received a 221g letter. The embassy is not asking any additional document. The letter just stated that my case is in administrative processing. Also, my passport is still with them. I checked the ceac, the last update was on the 5th of July and still on AP. Is this the normal process?

Well, it depends what exactly the letter says. In my case, they kept my passport, gave me 221g to provide W-2, which I did that same day. Then I still went through AP for another 2 weeks. There is always AP after the interview.

Hello, did you end up getting your visa issued?

Even with the letter? I understand that sometimes the status would say AP but I haven't heard of a letter being sent without asking for anything

Each embassy is different, yours sends a letter others don't.  Nothing concern yourself.

I called the US embassy in Manila to confirm whether I have additional docs to submit or not. They told me that there are no additional documents required. I am just starting to worry because it will be on its 3rd week on AP.

Noted. Is sending a letter protocol for Manila?

Usually no. Everything is on the web for USEM.

@TXBill and @Pau Joviene Here is everything you will need to process in the Philippines. If it is not on the P3 list it's not needed. There is no need to call the embassy for anything at this juncture. Both of you are overthinking the process. Trust the process and control what you can control. The best guide to use is from Hanks website, link is below. If you have questions about the process in Manila, the sub-forum is very busy and you will find answers to your questions or you can receive help.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.

But they did say that the Visa was approved right? How did the interview go?

The interview went well and the consul said at that time that the visa was approved. I guess I am really just worrying too much.

That's at least good. I know the issuance is taking 2 to 4 weeks, maybe it's just that? Or perhaps some issue on their side that's not related to your case. Either way I hope you get your Visa soon! Keep up updated! All the best!

No USEM does not normally send out a letter after the interview unless of course it is a 221(g) detailing additional documents are needed. This is something new the fact that the OP received a 221(g) BUT not asking for any additional documents. I would only advise to carefully reread the 221(g) in the event something was missed.
