Hey guys

So I got an appointment today for my k1 medical in the Mater in Dublin but it's not until Aug 15... basically 1 month away.  From what I've seen on this it takes about 2 weeks to recieve the results from the medical so I'm estimating it'll be end of August before I can submit my readiness. Does anyone know is there any way I can go for interview before the medical? Or any way I can speed it up? Thanks in advance :)

I am assuming that you have this information. But if not here it is again. You may stay in touch with the medical facility for cancellations. You also may want to ask your question in your sub-forum located here:

Medical Exam Instructions

All immigrant visa applicants, regardless of age, require a medical examination prior to the issuance of a visa. Only a physician accredited by the U.S. Embassy can perform this exam. It is your responsibility to schedule a medical exam with the clinic listed below before your visa interview at the U.S. Embassy. Medical examination results from other physicians will not be accepted.

Approved clinic:

Visa Medical Centre,
Level 5, Mater Private Hospital,
Eccles Street, Dublin 7
Tel 01 885 8850
Email: visacentre@materprivate.ie
Website: materprivate.ie/dublin/centre-services/all-services/visa-medicals/

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Maybe you have another suggestion as there doesn't seem to be much chatter elsewhere for Dublin people?

Hi Nissilito,

My first medical appoitment was on 23th July and I asked them to call me if they have any cancellation.

They called me and I had it on 13th of July, 10 days before I expected. After doing my medical apoitment, I sent my notice of readiness. I will have my interview at the begging of August.

In the hospital they told me that people use to have an appoitment before doing the medical examinations. They use to know when they will have the interview. It wasn't my case.

In the section "Ireland US Consulate Reviews" you can read experiences where the people made the interview without having the medical results: https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?trim=no&cty=&cnty=Ireland&page=1&dfilter=5&topic=

I hope this information is useful for you!

Medical results from the Mater only take about a week, they are very organised and will call you to tell you the results are ready so you can go in and collect them in person. You are only supposed to send the notice of readiness when you have the medical back and everything else in hand. At best if you wanted to maybe send in the notice of readiness once you do the medical as the interview probably wont be scheduled before the medical comes back but even then I wouldnt risk it personally. When you do the interview the first step is one of the staff taking all the documents from you and making sure you have everything so it would be better to wait and have everything in hand.
