if denied ,  you fly to Tunisia , meet him and marry him there  / usually 3 days and Algeria can take long to process papers

you apply CR1 for spouse

you work thru 2019 and 2020 as it will take 12 to 14 months to get to the interview

working and increasing your income for the new interview will help a great deal

other red flags

like big age difference

difference in religions

USC unable to have children

several divorces

Him and I talked for if we get denied. If we did get denied we would get married and stay in Algeria. We do not want to do this again we want to start our life and America is ridiculous for this. The good thing is we don’t have any red flags. We are the same age, we share the same religion, I can have kids, and I was married one time before this. Everything is nice it’s just for money I am worried about.

You do not have to include the savings but i would print out that and make sure he has it for the embassy

and i applaud you for being able to save

and do the extended face time

I have him the last 3 months of bank statements to show money and to show what I have saved. We also made sure to include all the proof of the amount of time we have spent together. Via airline tickets and passport stamps and pictures as well. We wanted to make sure we have plenty of time together to have a solid foundation together.

sorry but you applied march of this year and NOA2 in June??

your case is proceeding fast

and if you ever watched 90 day finance you would understand why immigration takes all things into consideration to approve a visa and sometimes to to do more

Yeah we submitted the I129f in March and got our NOA2 June 14. We got our case number from NVC Thursday and the case left on Friday. We were so shocked it happened so quickly and that we did not get an RFE. None of this is easy or cheap by any means.

The only thing I would add is that lyft is self employment income. As such, only that which is claimed on your taxes count. Anything else is revenue - not income yet.

I am going to do my quarterly taxes for Lyft. So since that’s on paper and it’s taxes that means it would count as income correct ?

So what can I do ? Basically I am feeling like I am not going to get this visa now. I don’t have a co sponsor my family aren’t really helpful in this area

Prepare the information you have. You may be fine. Only the CO can tell you if you it’s satisfactory or not...they make a decision based upon the totality of the circumstances. If you can have a co sponsor, then all the better.

That’s quarterly estimated taxes. It has no bearing on actual income.

Take a deep breath and try to relax. Present the best case you can, and have a co sponsor ready just in case. Worst case is they refuse the visa u til there is a satisfactory sponsor, so a refusal on public charge grounds doesn’t mean you have to start all over. It slows the process, sure, but doesn’t abandon it.

Lyft is a minimum wage job so if you are earning $4,000 a month and working Lyft part time I can not see how the Lyft income matters, your other income will more that comfortably meet the requirements.

I am sure at this point I am making people on this site crazy but I have one last question do I need a co sponsor. My fiance and I just had out case sent out to the Embassy in Algeria on Friday. I want to be so sure I can do this by myself. I have 3 years of tax transcripts and I have my w2 for 2018. In 2018 it shows I made 17,000 something, and I was told for my state and it being a k1 visa i only needed to make 16,210. Now my question is this I am currently working 3 jobs. I have been driving for Lyft for the passed 6 months and I have bank statements to prove that income. I just started my 2 other jobs in the passed 2 weeks, and both of my jobs have written papers for me to give to my fiance. With all of these jobs I make over 4000 in a month. Is this enough or would I need to have a co sponsor ? I am sorry if these questions have been asked and answered before. We are just clearly very nervous and want the visa, and I was also told you did not need a strong sponsor for the k1 but for the cr1 for example. Any comments would help we are just very stressed and worried. Thanks

When my fiancé interviewed at the Algerian consulate I bombarded them with paperwork......three years of tax transcripts, my business tax returns, w2s, letters from employers and histories of pay for the year. Not to mention....they also require a statement from your bank and banking history for six months.....

The consulate kept the last year tax return (personal), the pay history of the current year from my employer and letter and the bank statements.

Do you have an accountant? Are you currently paying in estimated taxes? (Estimates can be included in the financial paperwork for current income)

I have bank statements Taxes letters for employment. I am about to file my quarterly taxes for lyft to show I’m paying my taxes. So I’ll have that paperwork for him as well. My bank isn’t one of those banks where I can get a statement from them personally but I can submit all the statements from the last 6 months that’s not an issue.

That is all they ask for at the Consulate....please keep us informed as to what they determine.
