so there we were ... deciding what to do for our saturday night alone ... we get 1 every 3 weeks.

i suggested AC (atlantic city) but geoff wasn't all that up for it ... he suggested a film: V for Vendetta. all i know about that movie is that it's based on a comic book and natalie portman actually had her head shaved during filming!!!

it was one of the best movies i've seen in a very long time! what is amazing about it ... is that it was indeed written in the 1980's but so much is relevant to today.

i really do recommend seeing it. i was pleasantly surprised, i'm usually one for the romantic-comedies! :thumbs:

Much like 1984 (being written in 1948) is relevant today.

I want to see this movie too.

Great film.

I've just finished downloading the Uk Premiere special on it from UKnova. They were talking about how they only had a few hours between midnight and 4AM for 3 nights to shoot the scenes around Whitehall.

IMO, there was only one good film ever featuring Hugo Weaving (no, I did not see "V for Vendetta" or "Matrix"), which was "Bodyline"!

We saw it this afternoon...I would also highly recommend it.

The cinematography is excellent, the parts were extremely well cast (we loved the irony of John Hurt's role on the other side of the fence from "1984"), and the storyline moved along well.

There was a bit of blood but not overdone, and not gratuitous (at least in my opinion).

Definitely not a waste of a couple of hours. :)

And Priscilla, Queen of the Dessert :thumbs:

Amen, sistah! LOVED that movie. :yes::thumbs:

mmhmm becca ... even girls will like this movie. i went along begrudgingly because i didn't think i would be interested in it ... it's based on a comic book series and frankly ... it looked like a #######-flick to me.

boy was i surprised!! the storyline runs an amazing parellel to our own reality at the moment.

cerise put it perfectly about the 'gore'. i even commented to geoff about that after the movie ... that it wasn't that bad.

:thumbs::thumbs: << 2 thumbs up! *heehee*

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
