Hi,

My 129F was received on May 18th and the check was cashed. According to the USCIS website, I looked up my case, and they mailed the NOA1. I have not yet received it in the mail, ... so is the NOA1 date the 18th of May or is it not until I actually get the papercopy in the mail? Maybe a dumb question...

Thanks!!!!

You go by the received date that is printed on the NOA1, not by when you get it in the mail.

Hi,

How do you check online the status of your application if you have not received an NOA1, is there another code somewhere? Ours was filed 5 weeks ago and we haven't heard anything yet so i'm a little worried.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

My fiance went to his bank and they looked at the image of his cancelled cheque to get the WAC number so that we could monitor the status on-line.

You can retrieve your NOA-1 receipt # from the back of your check provided a personal check was written. Sign onto your online banking web site and see if the check has been posted to your account. At the back of the scanned image check, you will find a number that begins with WACXXXXXXXX, this is your NOA1. If the number is not legible, you might have to call customer service to assist with reading off the number. Launch www.uscis.gov and in the middle of the web page on the right side type in the WACXXXXXXX in field for checking case status. Good luck and a speedy approval.

Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it. My fiancee checked her account and our check was cashed on May 3oth but she doesnt have online banking set up, no big deal it just means we'll have to wait for the package to arrive till we can check our status right? On that note, some of the timelines show NOA1 before the check being cashed, is it a problem that our check was cashed 10 or so days ago but we havent received the NOA1 through the post yet? I thought it was logical that the check got cleared first. I'm hoping it should arrive soon. Any comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks again

My fiance didn't have online banking so he went to his branch and they printed off the image from their terminal for it so we could read the WAC number from the back.

Thanks, just looking at your timeline - so how do you know your NOA1 was sent before the check was cashed? Our check was cashed 2 weeks ago but we have had nothing through the post yet?

I got the WAC number from the back of the check then registered on the USCIS web site. The bank gave us the date the cheque was cashed and the USCIS site gave us the NOA1 date. The link to USCIS case status is https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp
