I called USCIS yesterday and asked for an expedite of my travel document. Today, I received this status to my email:

"The status of this service request is:
Your request has been forwarded to the proper department for further review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly. We hope this information is helpful to you."

And I got these updates as well on my USCIS account:
  • 07/09/2019

On July 9, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1B1*********NSC, was completed.

  • 07/09/2019

On July 9, 2019, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1B1*********NSC.

  • 07/09/2019

On July 9, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1B1*********NSC, was assigned to an officer for response.

What does it mean? Does it mean my expedite request has been approved? Or they're still deciding if they're going to approve the expedite or not? Anyone experienced this before?

    Thanks guys for your time.

No.  It means that an officer is adjudicating your expedite request, not the actual petition.

It takes 3-4 weeks to get the actual paperwork for the request. They will send you a letter in the mail via USPS with the Fax number, and all the identifying information to get your fax to the right case officer. after you get your proof of why you need the expedite faxed in, then they will review it and you will more than likely receive the card in the mail before anything updates online, or you will get a denial notice in the mail. Once you get everything faxed in, it should only take a week.

Thanks guys for your replies, I just received an email back from the congressman. She informed me that the file is with the adjudicating officer. I guess the expedite has been approved.

If it's with the officer, they only reviewed my info a day or two max, you should see the approval letters in about a week, then card show's up 5-7 days after the approval letter.
