Hello everyone,

I called NVC today, and received my case number. Can my fiancé already schedule an interview? or does he have to wait until the embassy sends him email with instructions? The wait time to get an interview at mumbai embassy is very long.. people are currently waiting 3 months to schedule a visa interview... Please let me know if someone has already done this process?

You don’t have to wait for embassy instructions. You can schedule an interview when your CEAC status is “ready”.

Ok, I checked my status and it says "In Transit" so I'll wait for a week or two until it's ready.

Also do you have any knowledge about form I-134 (Affidavit of support)? I am currently a student and I am only working during summer break. My dad is going to be the one supporting him when he gets here. Do we both need to fill our for I-134 or is he the only one that needs to complete that? Please let me know.

The petitioner is always the primary sponsor and is required to fill out a I-134, as do any other co-sponsors.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
