I am still on my mission to loose 80 pounds. I haven't weighed myself since I was at the doctor's office last month and probably won't until I go in for my annual physical next month. I do believe I am having some kind of success, I am down two belt holes thus far and have started wearing my 42 pants again. "I'm too sexy for my shirt" :P

Good for you Jim......I never weigh myself, as I think that it can be a bit deceiving, but you can always tell by the way your clothing fits.....no being in denial when you can't zip those jeans

When I moved here, my hubby had a terrible diet, lots of fast food, and basically sat at a desk all day, quite different from my lifestyle.....I told him I'd be quite annoyed if I basically left all my family and friends and all I knew and loved to come to be with him, and he dropped dead of a heart attack in 5 years.....so now he is out running with me and has quit the fast food......that in itself has helped him drop 30 pounds....I am so proud of him, and he is feeling so good about it......amazing what a little guilt trip will do now and then ;)...just kidding of course, but I want him around for at least the next 100 years so I intend to nag a bit if he decides to go through drive-through too often :innocent:

Good luck everybody and keep up the good work.

I have been feeling queasy all week and basically subsisting on crackers and ginger ale (so much for my resolution to not drink carbonated beverages). I walked on Monday at lunchtime and will walk again this evening. Not feeling like doing a lot of exercise though since I feel so miserable.

it is really irritating.. I keep hovering around the same weight... it will go up a few pounds then go back to that weight but never under :P...

I think my main problem is lack of exercise .... my hubby keeps asking me to go do some excerise but I always say no because I don't feel like it or it is too hot outside....

My check-in? Yep...still fat. :P

Hoping the move to NY will help me get some weight off, and apparently this has to be done against my will because I can't for the life of me motivate. I still have not been able to overcome the challenge of living with someone who eats and buys all kinds of delicious things all the time.

Well since my last post on 17 June, I broke through that mini plateau I had (if that, I hadn't moved weight wise in 2 weeks) and I lost another 4 lbs right after my period. I knew that had to be the culprit! so I have hit a milestone :D 60 lbs lost :D so I have new pics now:

Before:

This week:

 don't laugh, I don't have make up on nor did I blow dry my hair that day! That is the same shirt in all 3 pics, the black pants in the before pic don't fit me anymore so I had to wear a new pair of jeans I recently bought  I think it was a good reason for buying clothes!

I'm still eating the same as always aiming for 7 times a day 200 calories each meal. so I still get to enjoy 4 jaffa cakes at a time and I'm drinking a coke zero right now. I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

(Jonny's shocked that I still have chocolate left over from my trip!)

I hear you, Marilyn, lack of exercise is my problem too. I try to go to the gym at least twice a week, but lately it's been more like twice a month :o

I'm trying to lose 5 pounds, and seems like I've lost 2 by just dieting, but that's where my successful weight loss has ended. Simply eating cereal and veggies without adding any physical activity to it probably won't help me lose the remaining 3 pounds :( I really need to get my lazy a** to the gym this week... :)

KissChick, that is truly fabulous! If you've hit your 60lb goal, what's next?

I'm another lazy non-exerciser. Apparently it's really important because it helps bring the blood sugar down, but I just can't get motivated. What with the heat here right now and the fact that I've just started taking my metformin again (which has played havoc with my stomach, and I'll stop there!), I just don't have the inclination. Boo, hiss to me :(

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.

Really - cookies, water with gas and beer of all of it to a full set to passive work of office - all this gives the big weight!!! And as not difficultly I have accustomed itself to have after work, though 30 minutes of game of sports meets. Really good massage gives quickly result for a leather. To me it is little bit easier, as I do not like to drink beer and water with gas

KissChick.....your look great!!!!

I went to the doc last Friday and he figured I've lost 12 pounds since March. I get frustrated because it's sooooo slow, but he said it will stay off sine I'm losing it slowly. God I hope so! I had this pair of jeans sitting in my closet I want to get in to by the end of the year. *keeping my fingers crossed*

I'm losing the weight in 10 lb increments so my next goal will be at 169.5. after that, my next goal will be to weigh 159.5 and so on. I feel more accomplished this way. My very first goal was to weigh less than 200 lbs and I did that sometime last year around my birthday I think it was.

I reached 189.5 on 10 April and 179.5 on 9 June so I've got a pretty good pace going :) Thanks everyone!

You should try and eat a little more protein. for breakfast I have a can of tuna, drained with a tablespoon of light mayo. it's 200 calories and loads of protein. I don't exercise other than using the stairs instead of an elevator or parking far away in a parking lot but I am still losing weight just on diet changes alone.

If you're a vegan/vegetarian there's still loads of ways to increase your protein intake.
