Hi everyone! i filed the petition for my unmarried daughter in November 2013. the petition has been retained at NVC due to the numerical number of immigrants. My daughter was granted tourist visa in 2016 so she spends summers with us which is great. But we are still waiting for the day when they start to process her visa. I became a citizen 2 years ago and provided NVC with my naturalization certificate. I contacted them a few times (made online inquires as they are not really willing to answer your questions by phone)   but got this standard reply saying that her visa is not eligible for the further processing and of course they refer me to Visa Bulletin. I am wondering whether there are people here who are in the same boat ? does anyone have more experience in getting more information about cases from NVC? who has the same experience? it will be 6 years of waiting  soon .....

I am not sure what you mean by more information? Could you be a more specific?

You seem to know how the process works..

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I know the process of getting FB-1visa in general BUT still have not much info WHEN they are going to process her case, how i will know that. Years are passing but everything about her is uncertain . are there any ways to get more details about her case which has both numbers USCIS and NVC.

When the visa number is current, well usually a bit before.

Yeah they can’t tell you how long it will take to process because they don’t exactly know. It depends on a number of variables and partly on other people. You can see from the visa bulletin https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2019/visa-bulletin-for-july-2019.html that they are currently processing F1 visas for March 2012 so if your daughter’s priority date is November 2013 it will still take some time to get there. (If you had opted to retain F2B it would be much closer as they are up to Sept 2013, but I’m assuming you didn’t do that as you mention F1 above.)
