Just wondering if how quick you get a visa interview appointment depends on what type of visa you're applying for.

We are applying for an F3 (family based) visa for Montreal consulate. Will we have to wait longer than say marriage or employment based Visas?

Any idea of interview wait times in Montreal? Trying to navigate this site on a phone is hard. I can never find anything when I search.

Thanks!

I would think it depends entirely upon how the consulate allocates visa type interview slots....... You can check out Canada timelines here:

Thank you. How would I know which service center mine is at. I see Texas, California and Nebraska?

I thought the NVC was in Portsmouth NH?

Well this was great in the way that I could filter out for F3 visas however all the ones that came up never added any dates so I couldn't see how long they waited. Finding any info on F3 Visa's and timelines is impossible. it's taken 13 years just to get to the point we are at the NVC and for them ro finish reviewing our documents. all documents have been accepted but we still haven't got our case completed or documentally qualified email yet. no idea what's going on. It's so frustrating. thank you again for your help ❤

F3 are very rare.  Once you have a case complete, as Ive said before, it takes anywhere from 2-8 months.  Montreal does put a priority on IR1/CR1 but after that Im not sure.

I am so worried it will take forever. I didn't think this part would take so long. 13 yrs and counting 😔💔

Still wondering why I havent got my cc/documentally qualified email when they have accepted all our documents. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Call the NVC today and ask.

Yes I think I need to call.  I had to call in order to get my last document accepted cause it sat for more than 3 weeks with no action. they escalated to a supervisor and it got accepted the next day. But no email saying case completed yet.
