Hi guys, I’m at NVC stage and was confused about the civil documents that needs to be uploaded by the applicant. They want me to upload photographs, not sure why as I’m outside of USA and I was told I needed to bring passport pictures to my interview at the embassy where I’m living. SO I assumed I needed to upload pictures of petitioner and not me by mistake and have submitted it!! Ugh 😑

Was I wrong? Is any pictures required? Was that part added by mistake by NVC? I’m hoping it’s not required... please help if anyone know in what I can do to fix it? Highly appreciated thanks

Yes, you was wrong, you are supposed to upload the photograph of the beneficiary (applicant) not the petitioner. Eventually, when they review your documents, they'll see 2 different pictures on the passport and the photograph. Don't worry, I believe they will message you about this error and tell you to re-upload it.

Thank you, I appreciate any response to my questions! I’m still confused on why they would need it when it’s consular process?! So if I need to submit beneficiary passport photos I need to wait for their response if I get any at all. Then re submit and wait another few weeks ugh 😑

Anyone else who has different experiences I would love to know Thanks

I am currently going through this as well. I submitted my documents but I scanned the passport incorrectly, and I had to resubmit. I have been waiting for 5 weeks for them to review it again. 😞 Very frustrating

Hi, hope you receive good news soon! So apparently I never hit the submit button and I immediately uploaded everything the right way and submitted it... and not I’m just waiting :)

May I ask how long it took for them to review your documents after you submitted the first time? Some say it takes few weeks some say 2-5 days :) I’m a bit confused 🤷‍♀️

thanks

I actually woke up to great news, I called NVC yesterday and waited on hold for an hour to get to a representative. But she did let me know that when I resubmitted my documents for some reason they did not forward to the correct department. She fixed the issue and this morning all of my documents were showing accepted and I had an email stating I will receive a letter for an interview date shortly!!!

I originally submitted my documents on 6/10 and they were reviewed by 6/14 so I pray you have the same turn around!!
