question guys...

is it ok to take vacation to the Philippines for 3 weeks while N400 is pending?

I had my biometrics las Monday (july 1) and I don't have interview schedule yet.

as long as you greencard is current or you have extension letter or a I-551a stamp you will be fine

Pending N400 would make no difference

Sure.  Just mention the travel during your interview......

Nothing to stop you from traveling, you have your valid green card ... all is good.

Great question to ask. We just did our biometrics for the N400 and they scheduled the interview 4 weeks later. It's moving fast so OP be careful.

Yes .. my wife had her interview about 4 weeks after biometrics as well.   And oath taking was about 4 weeks after that.    The whole N-400 process actually took less than 4 months at that time.

Yes I did, as long as you have valid GC or stamp in your passport. How long are you staying? Just make sure you will be back before your interview

when I checked, it varies.. but the quickest was a month from their biometrics if I am not mistaken.

It sucks when there are unknown factors that prevent the simplest things from happening.....like travel to see family members, etc.

When you get your interview date, you can request a reschedule of the interview but it has to be a valid reason like a family/medical emergency that would prevent you from attending the original interview date and you must provide supporting docs (if applicable) to show that this was something beyond your control or unforeseeable.

In your case, I don't believe planning a trip is deemed as either of the above, so postponing is the best thing you can do for yourself at this point :)
