Already have Green Card but got notification that the case is ready to schedule an interview

So I went to the interview for my green card on May 18, 2019 and was approved. I got my green card around the end of May/beginning of June.

I just now got a notice that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. I tried googling around to see what this could be about but I'm honestly pretty clueless as to what this is.

Does anyone know if this is normal, or there is an issue? I will be trying to call USCIS to see if they have any more information they can give.

Any insights are helpful,

Thanks!

Looks like a system glitch?

Maybe try calling USCIS and ask what the hack is going on?

Huh that's odd! Yeah looks like it might a glitch then!

I tried calling them but it said there's no available representatives. I'll be trying again soon! Thanks for linking that other post!

Happened to me yesterday evening, as well. Received my husband’s green card in March, but got this notice at 8pm.

Slightly freaking out, majorly annoyed at USCIS for the added stress and confusion.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU !!! :joy:

If you have the Green Card, Form I-551, in your possession, the proof is literally in the pudding!!

That USCIS notification system is slow, sluggish, glitchy, incorrect, prone to error...anything else ?? :bonk: It is all just part and parcel of why we need for push our elected Federal officials to overhaul DHS and all of its agencies. The whole system is barely stuttering along...B-)

Enjoy your 18 month reprieve from USCIS!! Start getting on with your lives !!

I do have one suggestion/idea. Get an empty shoe box, or empty filing cabinet drawer and start saving "marriage bonafides" (USCIS-speak, certainly not mine). Throw into that box/drawer anything that could be used by you as evidence of a real marriage. Things to consider for including, joint utility bills, joint bank statements, joint deeds, trusts, insurance policies, joint tax returns, joint holiday cards received, joint wills/POAs, etc. Here is a link from a fellow VJ member that contains a much more extensive list of the types of evidence: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/604970-i-751-cover-letter-list-of-evidence-samples-and-reviews-megathread/ . Don't fixate on this stuff, enjoy your respite, just throw the papers into the box/drawer. When the time comes, you should have a good amount of "marital bonafides" to sort through, that you can use when your time comes to start the Removal of Conditions (ROC) step in the process comes.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Hi Guys, I'm in the same situation. I-485 application approved in April 2019 and received my 10 years green card in the same month but yesterday (7/3/2019) around 7pm I received e-mail from USCIS "interview ready for schedule " . I hope only a mistake/glitch, so confuse and stressful.

Spoke to uscis on live  chat they said that it could be a glitch in system and if I already had the card no need to worry

there is a similar thread on other sites about this and on trackitt (about ten other people in total)  seems to suggest it may be a system error.

Jrj27 :

thanks for the reply. I did a live chat with USCIS also about an hour ago and the officer said if I already went through the process and received approval notification and the green card ignore the text and email, USCIS sent it by mistake. Hopefully we all can put behind us this stressful process.
