We filed on June 29th. Nothing yet. (Orlando office).

I'm so bitter about this whole process right now.  We have hit every single delay from the outset of our K1. My daughter was 12 when we started the K1 process and turns 18 next week. So I'll literally miss having her get her citizenship through me but a matter of a few weeks. What really burns me is seeing that late September filers (as well as all July and August filers on VJ) at the same local office have already had their interview and/or oath.  My husband thinks I'm kidding, but there is nothing anyone can say to convince me otherwise. There is some note on our file that was put there by some disgruntled employee during our K1 process.  We have consistently been 2-3 months behind the rest of our respective groups of filers at every single stage of this journey.

I'm sorry about the negativity. I'm just so exhausted of constantly having our lives in pending and every time we think the end is in sight, there's more time added to it. There is nobody else I can tell except you guys because nobody gets it.

We've been looking forward to this for years and when hubby asked me at breakfast if I'm excited, I told him no.  It's just another reminder that there's a little division courtesy of USCIS, in our family, yet again. More waiting for daughter's now 5 year window, I have to tell her that she does NOT get to vote like all her friends now that she's turning 18 and we have more expense, suspense, paperwork. I'm just so over this.

Thank you for listening.  I'm totally fine if you all want to tell me to stop being negative. I'm #*&%ing exhausted from this all and the only thing I care about is that I used this opportunity to finally correct a typo on my name on my birth certificate so that I don't have complications everytime I sign something and present my ID.

No worries, I certainly get it! My wife got "lucky" with AOS, and had her green card w/in about 6 months, but every other step has had significant delays (still TBD with this one). The first delay was due to USCIS sending our I-129f approval to the National Records Center (NRC) instead of NVC, and then taking 4 months to finally get it to NVC. During that debacle, USCIS would give me a different answer every time I called their "help" line.

The ROC delays didn't really bother us that much, but if my wife doesn't get her citizenship by November, she's going to be very frustrated. We're in a very blue state, but she still is looking forward to being able to vote.

SFO is slow and slower than other states where interview was scheduled 2 months from date of application. Hope you get yours soon.

If you had filed in San jose instead of SFO then you could have become a citizen by now.

Rooting for you guys!  I really think those who haven't endured years of this really don't get just how much it feels like your life is in a constant state of pending.  You always read and hear about all these scam marriages but for those of us with long, deep, relationships. all we want to do is live our lives without complications and waiting times.

I hear you. USCIS have a history of screwing up cases when they screwed up my employ, men based green card 10 years back due to a "data entry" error. Had to file FOIA and involve congressman's office to get it fixed. Goodluck!

It's just so ridiculous, isn't it?!  If we lived 20 miles north, 20 miles west or 30 miles south we would have been processed within 4 months.  And looking at the timelines for those in our office, we are nearly 3 months behind the other filers assigned to our local office. I'm just so bitter about all this and instead of being excited, it's just a good way to get free from USCIS for 18 months until we have to start this all over again for our almost 18 year old daughter.  Grrr!  lol

Thank you. I'm so sorry about the stress!  I totally get that human error happens and I'm OK with that. I have an issue when a person gets penalized for someone else's error and they show absolutely no regard.  I hope they got things fixed for you eventually. Sheesh!  What a nightmare, this whole thing. I actually wish we had just gotten married when I was here on a visit earlier on in our dating relationship and we were tempted but didn't know what the process was. We were so worried about doing things wrong and ended up waiting and filing for the K1.

Agree with you completely. Problem is that there is no accountability with USCIS. This data entry error pushed my green card back by 2yrs and 3 months (Yes, i know it to the day!).:-) I am glad its over now and currently a US citizen,

Just had my interview in Irving, TX. It went pretty smoothly.

I was asked questions about US history, asked to write something down and read a sentence. Then we went over my application.

She recommended me for approval.

How long does it take for the status to change on USCIS website?

I hear you. It could be just Orlando office. I also filed in Orlando. Makes me wonder looking at August, September, or even October applicants being naturalized. I filed on June 1 and my estimated completion time was February 2020. Now the estimated completion time has disappeared from my account. I don't even know what to expect anymore. I patiently waited until February 2020 but what's now? How much longer would it take? Another year? Two? I don't know....
