My oath ceremony has been scheduled on 12/31. It’ll take place next week, on January 14th. The end of the journey is near :)

AOS Timeline:
August 29, 2015: AOS package mailed to the USCIS in Chicago.
August 31, 2015: AOS package delivered.
September 8, 2015: NOA1 received by text and email (4 receipt numbers).
September 12, 2015: NOA1 received by mail (3 receipt numbers).
September 14, 2015: NOA1 received by mail (1 receipt number).
September 18, 2015: Biometrics appointment letter received for October 1, 2015.
September 22, 2015: Biometrics done. Early walk-in at a different ASC.
September 30, 2015: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.
November 11, 2015: EAD card is being produced (Form I-765) and Form I-131 is approved.
November 12, 2015: Form I-765 is approved.
November 15, 2015: Interview scheduled on December 22, 2015.
November 16, 2015: EAD card mailed to me.
November 19, 2015: EAD/AP card received.
December 22, 2015: AOS Interview. Approved on spot.

December 31, 2015: Green Card received.

Does anybody know what I should do for my minor daughter who is also a green card holder for her to become a US Citizen? I heard I just need to apply a US passport and provide my proof of citizenship, is this true?

I had my Oath Ceremony today, and just updated the spreadsheet for reference. It looks like there are a few of us whose oath taking is scheduled to be today as well. In that case, congratulations to all of you! 
 

And I know that Oath Taking day experiences has been posted before so I’ll keep my account short.

 

The ceremony I attended today was held in my city’s district court. Security was a breeze and there were 22 new citizens. I turned in my Green Card and the accomplished oath letter to the immigration officer present (he was my interviewing officer too lol) and then I went to my assigned seat in the court room and found a packet with a flag, a US passport application form, a Welcome Citizen booklet and a message from the President. Also in the packet is my Naturalization Certificate (the joy is unreal to be finally holding this piece of paper after all the immigration battle!) and court petitioned name change certificate. There were two judges in the seat and they both gave their endearing remarks. We got sworn in and the event came to a close in about an hour. 
 

Thank you, everyone for all the kind word during my time in this forum. This was truly an epic journey. I hope for you who are waiting for the end (and possibly the start of our new American life) a brave heart, a strong mind and a never ending will to get through and through!

 July filer here, my interview has been scheduled.  I was wondering about the documents i need to take along with me for the interview?.  In the interview letter they asked me to bring GC, passport and original documents attached when i filed N-400. In this forum, i have seen people carrying W-2, bank statements etc..so, i am confused. My application is based on employment (5 years). I really appreciate your reply.

Hello there! My application is based on 5years (marriage) and I don’t know what else you will bring at your interview. But to share mine, I brought greencard, the interview letter, driver’s license and all original documents that I submitted upon application. I also brought in income tax returns, passports of my kids and my husband. None of these were asked. Only ID for check in and getting a number. The IO only asked me the letter, green card and my passport.

I applied in NY, 5 years green card (divorced). Any advice for interview ? would they ask why I divorced, etc etc ?
