I think you will be fine. This sounds like nothing else was an issue. Did they tell you how to submit the transcripts?

No, she just said they'll (the they meaning someone from USCIS I assume) let me know exactly what I need to submit.  I assume I'll receive an RFE of some sort.  It just seems odd that something so critical wasn't flagged in advance of the interview.

Thanks for the reassurance though!

Congratulations! I too had the same experience. My interview date was September 30th in Ft Smith, AR. I wasn’t approved on the spot because they found another file in my name and my file needed to be merged. IO said this is to no fault of my own so I was sooo devastated getting denied the experience of being approved and knowing that I can take a step up that day. But today, I got an email saying I was finally recommended for approval! Man, I thought this day would never come. 😭👏 The 79 days of waiting since interview date finally ended. Now waiting for the oath to be scheduled.

@juliewangn, at one stage of this whole process, I shared the same frustration as you. During my AOS, I went to the interview and the officer said that my fingerprints were not accepted by the FBI so I needed to bring police clearance history 5 years back. I was livid that they never told me that before I showed up. I hope you receive the RFE soon. Check your Documents tab as well in your profile since it is possible to show up there before you receive it in the mail. Once you see the RFE there, you can just print it and send it along with the paperwork they are requesting. Best of luck to your journey. We are so close to getting all of this behind us. 💕

hey! just checked in this morning and USCIS notes I should see some activity in the next 31 days relating to my interview appointment. Within a couple of days my dad who filed in the Oakland Park office, he had his interview scheduled. I filed for the Newark office, mid July. On my dashboard still says all should be completed by March 2020.

Good luck to everyone else who is still waiting. And for those that have completed their journey, enjoy and have fun!!

and happy new year!

Had the interview and oath ceremony all within 15 days in the PA field office. The interview was straightforward. They were surprised that my wife spoke fluent English. After that point, the line of questioning was soft ball. The officer told her that the oath would be very soon before the new year and that was accurate as we got the letter the next day. The oath ceremony was painless. We are applying for the US passport now to complete the process! All in all, we beat estimated processing time by 4 months so stay positive everyone!

Hello all!

I just had my interview today. It was painless. I arrived 30 minutes early on my scheduled appointment of 10:35am. I checked in and waited to be called. Took about 20 mins waiting. The officer apologized for the wait because they are having computer issues. He asked for my passport, green card, and appointment letter, verified my information. He then took my picture and index fingers print. Soon we proceeded to the Civic Qs. I was asked the following:

1. What are two ways that Americans can participate in their democracy?

2. Where is the Statue of Liberty?

3. Name one state that borders Canada?

4. Who vetoes bills?

5. When was constitution written?

6. How old do citizens have to be to vote for President?

I was only asked 6 questions, since I got them all right, he stopped and congratulated me for passing the civic exam. Their ipad is also not working so he printed a paper with 3 questions and asked me to read the first question. It says “Who is Abraham Lincoln?” Then he congratulated me for passing the reading part. He again printed a paper and asked me to write “Lincoln was the President during the Civil War.” Then said congratulations! We went through the questions on my applications (the ones that are answerable by yes or no). He printed the oath and had me signed it. He then showed me the information that will be on my certificate. He said I passed and that he will send his supervisor my recommendation. But due to the technical issues, he can’t tell me the oath ceremony date. They will mail me a notice and if they need more information, they will call me. He gave me a copy of the approval.

Done by 11:30am. Indeed a great New Year for the first business day of the year!!!

Mine was updated like that then a few minutes later was updated to in line for oath. Did you check you case status through uscis? For some reason the updates were in the regular case status earlier than my account.

I had my interview on the 3rd then yesterday 4th it changed to THAT status from “we scheduled your interview.” The IO said they have some computer issues so I guess I won’t hear anything till then. I saw someone from Chicago n400 that she also had the same status and didn’t hear after almost a month.
