Hello! Subsequent to my interview on 11/14/2019, I had my oath ceremony on last Friday, 12/6/2019 at the Atlanta USCIS field office.

The ceremony was scheduled for 12:30 PM. I got there quarter to noon. After the security check,  the questionnaire in the form N445 was reviewed

by a USCIS officer. Then I was advised to go to the second floor where the oath ceremony was. There, I had to check-in and was given a token with a

number on it. I was asked to take the seat marked with that number. This entire process took only about 20 minutes. People were coming in until about 1:20 PM.

The visitors were asked to wait outside the hall until the ceremony started. I'd advise you not to bring any of your young children, unless you have another adult guest

who would take care of them for you.

The ceremony started at 1:30 PM. It was presided by an USCIS officer. The officer let visitors in at that time. There were not enough seats for all the visitors.

They were all standing along the wall. The ceremony was very simple and quick. There were 150 people being naturalized on that day hailing from 43 countries.

A video showing how immigrants helped shape America was played. Then we took the Oath of Allegiance and officer declared that we are all US Citizens.

Then, we did the Pledge of Allegiance and then we sang the National Anthem. We were then asked to walk out of the hall in a single line. As we were walking out,

they took the token back and gave the certificate of Naturalization. The ceremony lasted only about 20 minutes.

We were offered to register to vote. I did it there to save a trip. (It looks like the first time registration can't be done online). It was quick. I was out of there by 2 PM.

Here is a summary of my N400 application process:

Basis: 5 year permanent residency

Application mode: Online

USCIS field office: Atlanta, GA

N400 Application date: 7/5/2019

Original Estimated Completion: June 2020

Interview date: 11/14/2019

Oath Ceremony: 12/6/2019

This forum was very informative and helpful. I thank you all for that. I wish you all good luck!

I had my interview this morning and got approved on spot.

Here are the six questions I was asked:

- What are two rights in the Declaration of Independence?

- We elect a U.S. Senator for how many years?

- Who is the Commander in Chief of the military?

- There were 13 original states. Name three.

- What did Susan B. Anthony do?

- Why does the flag have 50 stars?

I had to read “Where is the White House?” and write “The White House is in Washington, D.C.”

The IO was nice. She asked if I had brought my 2018 tax return. I said no, she just asked if I had submitted it, and I said yes.

She got excited when she saw my daughters’ birth certificates (I have twin girls). She said “oh, you have twins!” with a big smile. I wonder if she had twins herself haha. I was in and out in about 15 minutes.
She wrote down that I will be available after 1/6 for the Oath ceremony, so hopefully I don’t get scheduled before that.

Congrats! I had mine today too. I was told a decision cannot be made. I kind of knew they would have to review because I got divorced during my removal of conditions.

So now I wait... hopefully I get good news soon.

Thank you, I am trying not to stress but I see everyone getting approvals at their interview so it's hard not to. I was married 3 and 1/2 years, I divorced during ROC and I did notify them of my divorce. So I think I did the things I was supposed to but now I can't help but think if I will be ok :(

At my interview, everything went smooth. We did a few corrections to my application, the IO only asked about things on my application she was very nice, the only question not there was why I got divorced. I told her that because my ex cheated on me, and that was it, she moved on to other things.

Even though I was expecting this answer I can't help worry a bit.

Hello Group,

I had my interview in Louisville KY on November 7th and i was approved on the spot, i asked for my second name to be removed so the officer told me within a week or two i should receive a letter with my oath ceremony but until today i haven't received any oath ceremony appointments! Does anyone knows how long it takes for a judicial oath ceremony to be scheduled in Kentucky?

Hi everyone!  First time commenter.  Just had my citizenship interview today.  It went well except literally after the interviewer was pretty much done and ready to approve me, she started to ask me about evidence that I had already submitted online.  She said I didn't submit anything past 2017, when I know I did up to present time.  That wasn't too bad, since I brought print copies of all the documents I submitted so I just gave them to her, and then she said I needed to submit tax transcripts and not tax returns, since tax returns don't prove that you've actually submitted your taxes.  At the end, the interviewer said USCIS will let me know exactly what they need from me, and that was that.  When she walked me out, she actually admitted that they don't make it clear on the application that they require explicitly tax transcripts and not just tax returns, so many applications are delayed because of that, but that I basically passed and this is just a formality.  So that's good I guess?  Anyone else go through this?  It's just so odd and out of the blue, and I've scrolled through most of this thread and never saw anyone mention that.  Or maybe I just missed it completely!  Thanks!

I think you will be fine. This sounds like nothing else was an issue. Did they tell you how to submit the transcripts?
