I think all the info about your case is online. I don't think the officer who interviewed us had a physical copy for I-751. NBC reviews and preps the case for the interview. I have a feeling that the interviewing officer simply checks off boxes and makes annotations online. Our guy had trouble updating the info and kept saying the system is being slow.

That’s what I would hope for. That they would have it all electronically. I guess I will have to wait and find out on Tuesday what happens

I wanted to take a short trip outside the country end of November. My 18-month extension is at term Nov 6, from 05/2018 for gc expiration, but I get this reply when I try to setup an infopass to get a stamps.

About scheduling an appointment:

After a review of your inquiry, we have determined that your request does not meet the criteria for an INFOPASS appointment at this time. Your inquiry can be addressed by the tools and resources available at www.uscis.gov/tools

Not sure if I should go on vacation now.

Hello Group,

I had my N-400 Interview yesterday in Louisville,KY with a pending I-751, the whole process didn't take more than 20 minutes, i took my wife with me and the kids just in case they needed to do a combo interview for both of us, the officer called my name i went inside the office alone he approved my I-751 without the need to interview my wife then he proceeded with the civics & English test, I answered the first 6 question correctly and i was approved , he told me i should expect a letter in the mail with the time, date and location of the oath ceremony in a week or two from now. good luck to everyone waiting on their interview.

I wouldn't advice to go out of the country without a valid extension letter or a passport stamp :(

I know that they need to have your physical package in front of them to conduct the interview, maybe they don't have it at your local office yet? Because they go through the pages so see your answers and to check facts with you.

You are right!!!!! That's what the email from USCIS said.Called yesterday to confirm previous appt and it was cancelled according to their records. Now I just have to wait for them to reschedule. 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

I call got a call Friday from a CO that my citizenship that was scheduled for Monday would be reschedule because he did not receive my files in time for the interview.

The same day my 751 was transferred to NBC Lee Summit and received the notice on the Nov 1st. I did not even know they sent notice that fast.

Now waiting for something that will, hopefully, not be a long wait for a combo interview.

Same situation here for my N400.

I suggest bringing original for everything that was submitted online and even relevant documents that you did not submit along with your application.

My wife had a combo interview and the officer asked if we had an original of our daughter's birth certificate. I don't know how it got lost online but luckily we brought originals for everything and he was able to make copies so he could approve both the same day.

It's better to bring everything and not use any of it than to be missing maybe one item that could potentially prolong the process unnecessarily.

Thank you @CRB! Appreciate your input!

Just passed my N-400/I-751 interview.

Charleston, SC
July 24, 2019 applied online
Aug 8, 2019 biometrics
Interview scheduled 23 September, 2019
Interview November 12, 2019
Oath November 21, 2019

Had pending I-751, the officer conducted first N-400 interview and then approved my I-751, my husband was with me but was left in the waiting area.
N-400 I was asked few questions from the N400 (yes/no questions). Then asked me 6 civic questions.

1. Who does a U.S. Senator represent?
2. Who vetoes bills?
3. What is the highest court in the United States?
4. What is the capital of your state?
5. Why did the colonists fight the British?
6. 81. Who did the United States fight in World War II?

Reading:

“Where is the White House?”

Writing:

“The White House is in Washington, D.C.”

He then told me my application was recommended for approval.

Since I had my I-751 pending he printed out two pages and wrote down notes. First he said he had looked up some things before I came for my interview so he knows our marriage is not a fraud. He just wrote down that my husband and I owe our house, that we have kids, what my husband does for living and told me I was approved. Didn’t want to talk to my husband, didn’t want to see any documents. He had my entire file in front of him.

After I left within 30 minutes I got e-mail from USCIS worker letting me know I had my oath scheduled for next week and sent me a copy in my e-mail so I can print it if I don’t get mail in time.

Good luck!
