Did my biometrics on 7/25, got notification my interview date was set this morning, the letter was on the website this afternoon. So, less than a week!

Great news seeing you guys get your interviews scheduled! Oh my this is really exciting. I got my biometrics scheduled for 08/07. I wish I can walk in. I wouldn’t want to risk not being able to get a spot (or being outrightly denied) if I try to since my ASC is a 4-hour drive from my home one way! Looking forward to hear your interview experience!

I noticed people were talking about the “old site” and “new site” when looking at n-400 status.  What is the old site? What is the new site? I’m guessing I have been using the new one but I have no idea. Can I use the same login?

No, you can't. At least mine two are completely different logins. I could be wrong tho. You would have to try. The old site is this one: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/logon.do and the new one is : https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant 
So there are two sites that people use and then the app on their phones. For me, the old site shows up to date info on both my I-751 (I have pending removal of conditions since last September) and N400. The new website only shows my N400 up to date while my I-751 is stuck on "We received your case". Then the app is also up to date.

Had my Biometrics.  Everyone seemed helpful and friendly. It took about 25 mins.  20 of the 25 minutes were waiting.  Right after my appointment I checked my status and my completion time had moved from December 2019 to November 2019 (3 Months)

The Old site works well for cases that are not N-400.For example, when i did I-130 for my wife, it would show LUD (last updated date) and every time that date changed i knew they were touching the case.  A Soft LUD meant the date was being updated and hard LUD meant a significant status change with date updated. Same worked for I-485 for me as well.

Did you mean from Dec 2019 to Aug/Sep 2019?

Nope the estimated completion date was originally December 2019 and now shows November 2019.  Not sure why is says (3 Months) maybe they think it will be done early November lol

My biometric appointment is on the 13th and I decided to go to the office today (Elizabeth,NJ). I was THE FIRST one in line. Was sent to talk to a manager who said I must come back on the 13th because they are very busy today. So no luck doing a walk-in there...

If you are planning to do a walk-in (in Elizabeth office) before your scheduled time - do not do it.

I was tempted to try a walk-in but decided it wasn’t worth the risk as my local office is  2 1/2 hours away.  Hearing your story makes me glad I didn’t.

I had biometrics on 8/31 still status shows scheduled for biometrics but wait time has reduced one month. On old site it says actively reviewing you case.

 

is this normal?
