The countdown seems to be the number of days to expect biometrics scheduling. It's an estimate.

Mine said 9 days before they take the next action, which was to schedule biometrics but the next day, they scheduled it. So it really is a pretty *rough* estimate.

You’re probably reading the part where it says it takes about 48 hours for your account to update. Give it about a day and your completion estimate might show up. 

 

If you don’t see yours on your account home page, it means it’s not yet available.

How long does it take to receive the e-document for the biometric on your online account ?

I have been scheduled since friday but I haven't receive any document yet online

I got my paper notice before the electronic copy showed in my documents tab. It took 6 days from the date of the notice that they had scheduled an appointment until I got my letter.

@blushbaby welcome to the group! I’m sure that your estimate will change (shorten) after you are done with your biometrics. Happened to almost all of us here. Mine shifted from July 2020 to May 2020 and now it says February 2020

Mine got shifted today from February 2020 to January 2020. My letter had code 5 and got biometrics in 2 fingers?  photo and signature taken- it took less than 15 mins all together.

My biometrics appointment letter is available online and scheduled for Aug 6. 

 

Does anyone know if I could print that to do a walk-in or do I have to wait for the actual letter?

We just did biometrics today at our scheduled time in Alexandria, VA. It was incredibly busy. There must’ve been 50 people there for the same appointment time. Regardless, all done now and waiting for next steps. 

 

Also, we found out that USCIS application centers do biometrics for UK and Canadian visas in the US.
