Had our GC interview today. Classic story, they never received the POE medical form. So, he's going to dig around for it for "1-2 months" and maybe have to do an RFE for a new medical. We gave him the DS-3025 copies so we'll see what happens with that. So... "passed the interview" but it feels sort of hollow. No AP or EAD yet either.

Maybe you can reschedule your interview so that it'll be a few months later to make it to 2 years marriage? I don't know if that's possible - just a thought.

You did have a pretty quick turnaround time. I wish my case could be transferred to Sacramento!

I considered rescheduling, but I am not sure if you reschedule for that reason (unless you come up with an excuse, which I'd rather not do when it comes to immigration).

I have a sneaky feeling my case got transferred to Fresno.  I'll find out when I receive the mail.  It'll be a very long drive if that's where I end up interviewing.

It depends, sometimes you will not get EAD/AP and directly get GC.

That's so true. You never know with them so we would rather make ourselves available and cater to them than them rescheduling for us.

Oh wow - why do you think your case transferred to Fresno? Keep us updated - now I'm super curious!

Fresno has incredibly fast turnaround time (probably because very few people live in that area), and Sacramento seems to be averaging 8-10 months these days.   It's just my speculation at this point, I'll find out for sure hopefully next week.  Will keep you guys updated.

No. My wife has her green card. No EAD/AP. Some local offices just move faster.

Finally done...

We didn't submit I-693 when we applied Adjustment of Status, and we received courtesy letter for I-693 in mid November, however we don't have any case status update at all, it's still "fingerprint completed" now. Does anyone know how long it takes from the I-693 courtesy letter to "ready to be scheduled for interview"?

Has anyone else got a secondary notice regarding biometrics 2+ weeks after

initial update?

As of November 26, 2019, fingerprints relating to your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number LIN1990xxxxxx, have been applied to your case.

received notice on nov 26 that was worded

Hi guys, I'm very sorry for asking this if it's been asked before but I want to be 100% sure and don't get denied. We recieved our RFE yesterday saying that we need to submit a "complete and correctly calculated household size" and that my husband isn't meeting the requirements for sponsor. Now, maybe I missed something (my husband handed the documents and I didnt check maybe he misunderstood or something) but he makes $35,000 and theres only us two with our dog. He submitted taxes and everything but now im confused as if we need a sponsor or maybe we put the household number wrong? I dont want to get denied so I need help. Thanks!!

OK so

1.      What did you put on the form for your household size?

2.      On his tax return, was the Adjusted gross income for 2018 above the poverty guidelines?

3.      Did you submit Tax returns with W2s, etc or Tax return transcript from the IRS site?

4.      Did you submit supporting documents to show as evidence of his current annual income? (such as employment verification letter and 6 months worth of pay stubs)

Thank you for the response!!

1. He put 1

2. In 2018 we needed my mother in law as sponsor for the K1 because he couldn't meet the requirements. Now he works at a different job so I guess based on the 2018 maybe not??

3. He submitted the tax return transcript from the IRS.

4. We did, we submitted pay stubs, letter of employment, ect.

-The correct household size is 2 not 1 because its's you and him only.

-USCIS apparently wants the most recent tax return (2018) adjusted gross income to be above the poverty guidelines other than the current income. That's why most people get confused when they get RFE  for the I864 that says they don't meet the requirements when they actually do with their current income BUT they ALSO look at the previous tax return income. So in that case a Joint Sponsor would be needed.

That was my case as well. My Spouse's 2018 income on the tax return was below so I used my Mother-in-law as a Joint Sponsor.

- Tax transcripts are the best evidence to submit, so that's good

And lastly pay stubs and employment is good as well.

Hope that helped 🙂
