That's the max amount of time they have to check your case after the expedite. I was told this by a rep through Emma. Mine wasn't approved but took 4 days to be checked.

Great thank you

I applied for my expedite on 1st Nov for a job offer and was asked to send the evidence on the 8th Nov.

I then had this update....

On November 12, 2019, we received your response to our request for additional information regarding expedite processing of your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number ****. Your request has been forwarded to an officer for review.

No update as of yet... Anyone know how long the review can take?

So I checked my status yesterday and I saw that EAD/AP was approved Nov 26 and still waiting for AOS interview date since Oct 17😑😑😑. The old website updated that both approved but the new website only showed that EAD only approved. Please how soon are we going to get the combo card?
We are already thinking of expediting EAD before but I guess we don't need it to anymore.

Did you get any updates on the EAD? Mine was approved on the 27th and nothing yet. Hopefully we will get it soon..

Hi everyone,

I used VJ a ton when I was prepping for our case for filing so I thought I would share our experience so far - maybe it will help someone or at the very least, provide some sort of social support for myself and others :)

A bit of a background - I came to the U.S. in December 2006 as a student on F-1 visa. I did my undergraduate and graduate education in Nebraska. I graduated with my Ph.D. in December 2015. I got a job in California and moved to where I am at now and was on OPT from January 2016 to August 2016, and subsequently on H-1B visa from September 2016 until now (I got my visa extension until August 2022). I met the love of my life (US Citizen) in California where I am at - we started dating in October 2017, married in June 2019 and filed for AoS (along with AP, EAD, Petition for Alien Relative) in July 2019 (receipt date July 5th 2019). The following is our timeline so far:

July 3 2019: Application packet submitted

July 5 2019: Case received

August 2 2019: Biometrics appointment

August 6 2019: Fingerprint review completed

September 6 2019: Case ready to be scheduled for an interview

November 15 2019: EAD card being produced. AP still says case was received - I am hoping when my EAD arrives, it will be a combo card

And that's it for now. Our local office is in San Francisco with a long wait time (18 - 23.5 months) so it's just a waiting game at this point. There is a chance that we will be moving within the next two years before I get my GC and that is why I applied for EAD/AP since I would have to give up my H-1B when we move.

I know my case is a little different from others given my immigration history/background. If you have questions, feel free to ask and I will respond to the best of my ability. I also welcome any encouragement and positivity as we all wait in this process (we're all in this together~). Thank you to all posters on VJ - it truly has been my saving grace in preparing documents for our case.

I just wanted to provide an update to say that I received my combo card (EAD and AP) some time last week (week of Nov 25th). We were visiting my in-laws for Thanksgiving so I had my friend collect mail for us and when we got home, we had 2 approval letters (one for AP,  one for EAD and AP combo) and the actual combo card sitting in our living room. So it took about a week from the time I got the online approval to receiving the actual combo card in my mail.

And now, if only we could get that interview date....but baby steps I guess!
