Been 38 days since they received my RFE, 60 days since I completed biometrics and currently stuck at RFE received. Do you think it’s worth calling? I called 2 weeks ago now, I know the processing time can take up to 90 days for them to respond to a RFE but I know most people on here get a response before 30 days. I’m sorry just really impatient.

Let me know if you call and what they say we are almost at 60 days since they received our response to our RFE we were hoping to have an interview date by now :(

Look I never got the ‘RFE received’ status. Online it still says RFE sent. I made an inquiry last Tuesday because it has been more than 60 days without answer. They told me now I have to wait a least another month to see the received update. And then keep waiting for interview or EAD. So basically I will be losing 3 months of the whole process because my RFE answer probably got lost in trash can

Sorry just trying to be funny. I’m as tired as you. But I really want to laugh than crying

well i had a RFE and have to waste 2 months waiting for the letter that never came on the mil cause it wasn't possible to deliver it (post office problem)

did a request and wait 2 months for that

then i spoke with a lvl 2 immigration officer and sent me the letter via e-mail

thing that they were able to do easily months ago

i sent my RFE in October and a couple days my case was ready to be scheduled for an interview

no EAD no AP no GC

i left my amazing job to be stuck at home doing nothing

Life update: my EAD status changed today. I was honestly counting on a much longer wait for this one :)

Congrats, we also got it at the same date :))))  and I found we also had same bio appt date!!
Wonder how long will it take to be arrived?
Also it's interesting to get the EAD first. I've heard normally they will give us EAD +travel permit together as a "combo card".
Hope we can get the interview schedule soon!!!

Cheers~

Congrats to you as well! :)

They say it takes around 5-14 business days to arrive. I also know people whose AP statuses didn't change but they received a combo card anyway. So hopefully it's not just EAD but also a travel permit. Though there are cases where AP comes separately.

My local office is super slow that's why I don't count on interview being scheduled anywhere soon so I am just happy to at least get the EAD :D

Thanks

Guess I'm on 72th day as of now. They received mine for bc on sep 11.

But I don't think I've seen any July filer with RFE have heard anything back? Are there?

My hubby’s finger print was done September 11th & that’s the last update I see on both old & new websites . After reading some people’s experience of missed RFE letters & interview letters in mail I’m getting a little concerned. Should I call USCIS or what I see on website is the current info ?

Hi there all. Just joining this thread -- my husband is a late-July AOS/EAD/AP filer. We live in Washington, DC, although we knew we would be moving to Seattle in December. So we filed the paperwork from my parents' address in WA, hence we have Seattle as our field office. Only later did I realize that Seattle has one of the longest waits of all the field offices...

BUT! I just checked our case numbers and I saw this:

Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview

As of November 14, 2019, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number XXXX, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice.

So here's my question... how long does it usually take for them to send a notice? Is it common to get this status update on the website and then wait a very long time to receive the interview invitation? (Maybe this is the thing that varies hugely by field office?) I can see from @FaithProfessoR's post that it's not always immediate...

It could be within weeks months or even a year of wait for the interview, there people who get the interview so fast that they don’t even get an EAD. Your miles may vary.
