Hey everyone! I am a July Filer with a local field office in NEWARK, NJ! Anybody in this thread with the same field office? My case is currently in NBC! Biometrics done on 08/07...but Whatever app or website I check, it still says, “Fingerprint fee was received”... I called USCIS last Friday and was told a notice was mailed to me on October 31st. Nothing changed on myuscis account. I have no idea what it could be. All kinds of thoughts are going through my head! Any Newark filers here with any news in their case? Thanks in advance! :)

Hi, I was wondering if anybody has an insight on the chance of approval without any proof of joint account.

My NOA1 was July 1st. Done biometrics on July 24 and they received our RFE on Sep 11.

No news ever since but I worry a lot because other than marriage certificate, we don't have anything with both our name on it. As a matter of fact, my husband's ex wife's name is still on the house paper and some of our bill.

Do I even have a chance of approval?

sounds like you have time to get some of that stuff corrected....like the bills.  Get her name off and add yours.   Have him put you on his credit card account.....don't need a SSN for that.  We had a joint account from Thailand, but not in US since she doesn't have a SSN.   Most banks require that, but you can try Wells Fargo to open a joint account.   Some people had luck there with only a passport.   Print off your photos together and bring copies of those.   Bring any airline tickets you have together.

Having said all that, we're on day 4 post interview waiting for our approval.   Our IO seemed to understand about the joint account problem, but then again, we don't have the final decision yet.   We brought letter from SS that said they cannot issue the card.   Cannot imagine we won't pass.

Newark is pretty slow.   My guess is RFE.

Our interview is scheduled for this Thursday, November 7. We moved last week on November 1. We only moved 40 minutes away and are still in the same state, so I don't *think* jurisdiction of our case will change, but I'm a bit worried that it could complicate our imminent interview. Anyone have advice on this?

you can check office locations by zip code here............although we showed Orlando and ended up in Jacksonville.

For those who already did the interview and those who are waiting, did you fill in forum i-693, i know the medical done in the UK had a seal envelope that was already handed into immigration at the embassy in London, so do we have to do this also, as part of that forum requires a civil surgeon,

Like Boris, we brought in the immunization record and were not asked for that or the exam results.   The immigration guy took the sealed envelope at POE and like Boris said, that's good for a certain period of time.

It's been exactly 2 months since biometrics and no news yet. feeling really discouraged at the moment. I was happy that maybe I'd be having at least EAD by December or so, but doesn't look like it :( hope everyone still waiting hears something soon

according to the VJ statistics, you have a extensive wait.  Biometrics to interview is 341 days.

You may see the work and travel approvals by January.   We had biometrics on Aug 8 and January is our estimated time frame for those approvals.

You were right, it was RFE! :( just came in the mail today.

hey, sorry to hear.   I'm guessing it's something you can respond to pretty quickly.   And I'll bet it's not going to seriously delay your interview notification since looks like it's next year if we believe the VJ statistics.  At least you know someone has already started reviewing your file.

If you're living in Columbus, there is a USCIS office on Broad Street.     If you're in Lee's Summit, your office is in Kansas City.   You didn't travel from OH to MO for biometrics, did you?

We only had the bank account in both our name since i have everything paid off. We were approved last week with no problem at all. We just showed some pictures and the bank account. As long as everything is genuine, you will ne ok.
