Filed from Newark, NJ to Chicago. Got NOAs from NBC

OK, so here are processing times for Newark.   Average days from Biometrics to Interview is 244.   We got our interview notice about 40 days in advance, so I'd say you're looking at 200 days from August 9...........looking like Feb/Mar of 2020.    These results are based off timeline information entered by VJ members.

Exactly.  We were told the following are what he looks for outside of health/life/car insurance:  both names on the house, name change, matching house keys, and matching tattoos.   It was astonishing.

It almost feels like he was trying to ruffle some feathers by trying to make you feel afraid.  I have seen this happen quite often in jobs similar to his.

So people with completely outdated ideas of marriages and very little ability to think dynamically have significant power over peoples' futures?  Yeah, not much that can go wrong there..

We had a little taste of the opposite in our interview. She asked us about our future plans. I said something along the line of "Of course she can work if she wants to but we really don't need her to."  For a split second I got the look like I was some kind of exhibit in a history museum))). The thing is everybody has a different situation. The interviewers also have different life experiences and insights. Fortunately or unfortunately that is the reality of the world in macro and the immigration process in micro. I really don't care what they think as long as they give us the card and let us go on our way))).

Finally done...

Hey quick question

For those who already did the interview and those who are waiting, did you fill in forum i-693, i know the medical done in the UK had a seal envelope that was already handed into immigration at the embassy in London, so do we have to do this also, as part of that forum requires a civil surgeon,

Surely this part has already been completed.

Not sure if it varies from state to state but we didn't submit anything related to medical and we were approved last thursday.

Our interview is scheduled for this Thursday, November 7. We moved last week on November 1. We only moved 40 minutes away and are still in the same state, so I don't *think* jurisdiction of our case will change, but I'm a bit worried that it could complicate our imminent interview. Anyone have advice on this?

The I-693 should have been in the sealed envelope that was taken when you entered the country. We took a copy of the shot record form with us to the interview but it was not asked for. Your K-1 medical exam is good for one year (90% sure on the one year thing:-)) )....

Did you file a change of address with USCIS? If not they will have no way of knowing. Even if you did I truly doubt it will show up in the system in 7 days. They will ask about your current address during the interview. Just tell them then.

Finally done...

@LuFloladyThey received mine on september 20th and my case still says ‘RFE was sent’. I called USCIS and they said I have to wait 60 days to make an inquere. and after that wait a month for the response. So it will mean that my case has been put on hold for 3 months. And not even for something I did wrong (I’m assuming they lost my BC)

So conclusion, I’m way worst than you guys. Keep it up!

wow it is so ridiculous and disheartening to hear stories like this I will remain hopeful

Hi, I was wondering if anybody has an insight on the chance of approval without any proof of joint account.

My NOA1 was July 1st. Done biometrics on July 24 and they received our RFE on Sep 11.

No news ever since but I worry a lot because other than marriage certificate, we don't have anything with both our name on it. As a matter of fact, my husband's ex wife's name is still on the house paper and some of our bill.

Do I even have a chance of approval?

It's been exactly 2 months since biometrics and no news yet. feeling really discouraged at the moment. I was happy that maybe I'd be having at least EAD by December or so, but doesn't look like it :( hope everyone still waiting hears something soon

I feel you I am trying to remain hopeful for my husband because he is getting frustrated as well.....
