Just returned from our interview. Recommended for approval. She said she would try to have the approval in the system by the end of the day. The young woman who interviewed us was very professional. Make sure you talk to your spouse about means tested benefits, food stamps, and other welfare programs. My wife was asked if she planned on using any of these benefits specifically and my wife looked at me like "WT& is she talking about." :-)))) I told the interviewer that my wife had no idea about the concept of food stamps or welfare. Overall positive experience. The only bad thing is when we got there (St. Louis) there was no line or system to decide who is next to check in. The applicants had to police themselves. That isn't always going to work. Good luck to everyone else.

Holy smokes.   Our is on hold for review.   our rep told us this was normal.  I guess that is not the case.  Of course, I suppose it could vary by office, but it bothered me that they did not give any indication of an approval today.

They are all initially "under review.". You will be fine...👍

Many thanks for that Boris.   I'm looking back over the interviews, and saw most reps had the decency to provide some indication of approval for the people.   They handed us a letter saying "You have completed your interview.   USCIS is unable to complete your case at this time.  Your case is being continued until a final decision can be made.  Please see below for further explanation."

then there are three check boxes and ours is the first one........."Your case is being held for review.  At this time, USCIS does not required any further information or documents from you. "  then basically goes on to say they may ask for more info or another interview and that they'll notify us.

We were told the same thing yesterday but ours just updated to "new card is being produced" when we woke up today. Good luck!

They actually sent us the new date too - one month after this date. I guess it's better than waiting for more than 1 month. And no, the case status online didn't update nor give us any notice via text.

Hang in there. Soon this will all be a distant memory)))

Finally done...

I am in a very similar situation. My RFE response was received on Oct 7th and I have not heard anything else yet. Its getting frustrating as I see people here in the same field office as me (Raleigh, NC) getting interview dates even though my biometrics was before theirs.

I am hoping to hear something soon trying not to get frustrated :(

And there it is.  Thank you to everyone in this thread for taking this journey with me.  I'm looking forward to seeing you all sail through smoothly.

Edited to say: Status updated on new site only, I was prompted to check by emails from USCIS about having taken action on my case.  Old site still says "Interview Was Scheduled".

interview yesterday at Jacksonville.  Today, status shows the following.   Had every document needed and interview seemed to go well.  zero indication of whether or not we would be approved.   Read elsewhere that this message could change to Card Being Produced same day, or could go far longer.  Hope it's the former.

Nice !!!   Unfortunately for us, not the same in our case.   We're hoping to see that coveted "New Card is Being Produced" sometime today.  I do not want to wonder about this all weekend.
