Interesting... That's the same thing that's happening to us!! We applied for my husband SSN a few days before our wedding and we've had no luck with getting the status to verify. I know this may not help you, but I'm kind of glad to know that it wasn't just us!

I tried to open bank account in my name at husbands bank and they won’t do it until I have green card. I have a SSN that I got as soon as we were married on June 13th.   Still wasn’t enough.

Update for unfortunate ones near SF Office: I filed on July 31, had my biometrics on September 6. Status changed to "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" the day after, and... that's it. No other updates :) If there's anyone else in SF or Bay Area who filed around the same time, ping me when you get your next update. I know it might take a while though :D

Hi! I filled on August 2nd (San Jose) and my biometrics was on August 29th. No updates so far. Still says “finger prints fee was received” online

OK thanks for responding hopefully we hear something soon

I just called today just to check if someone would tell me something (I read in the USCIS website you have to wait between 4-6 weeks to update) and indeed they say I have to wait for that amount of time for them to tell me something.

I called at 3pm east time and I was on hold for literally one minute. So if you have to call I recommend this time

Wow! We had no problem with the bank. I added him to my existing account with his passport and visa information. No issues there.... There really is no level of consistency haha!

We added my name to my husband’s existing checking, savings and visa and had no issues at BoA. It may be a much simpler solution to start rather than opening a solo account.

just curious for those who responded to an RFE have you heard anything since the acknowledgement receipt notification?

None yet for me. They received our response on Sept 11 according to the website. Hopefully we'll get some "ready to be scheduled" changes thingy this month.
