I got the same RFE. I don’t know why is happening the same to a lot of people.

I sent mine again with the RFE letter. The same that was included in the packet. Mine also is the original BC with my parents names and the stamps and signatures from the Birth Registry.

Listen to this so we did got ours today for the same thing however in my wife country they have a two items for BC they got the Birth Certificate but they also have the Birth Inscription and that’s what they want. We did not send it because they say on the instructions that they need the birth certificate not inscription but the logic for them is that they want to follow the guidelines from the embassy department of state.

Any ways I send it back today as well since it was an easy fix. Hopefully that doesn't place us on the back of the pile

Do we have difference BC in Nigeria? Because the one I sent to them was the same that was issued to my parents a month after my birth.

I also have the one issued a few days after my birth but for some reason USCIS doesn’t accept that. I wonder why they have a problem with yours since it’s the same one you used for the K1 visa. Anyway I would recommend reaching out to relatives in Nigeria to find the closest NPC office to process it. I got mine from the office in Surulere, Lagos.

In the RFE letter it says they want the long form with parents names listed and the seal or signature from the Birth Registry where you were registered when you were born.

Read your letter and if you have found call USCIS. In my case the letter was very clear.

And I also read in other threads from prior months that is also happen to an amount of people and they sent everything again and everything is back to normal.

I don’t know what they do to lose it or what happend though

Okay thanks, because is the same thing that I have been using over the years and for the entire K1 visa process and the BC is signed and sealed.  Called my mum and she doesn't understand why they rejected it. It is well

Does your letter says it was rejected? Because mine it only says that they are missing my BC and instructions how it should be.

I used mine also for the K1 and I even apostilled it

No it wasn't rejected, the RFIE stated I should submit a copy of my BC.
