Thanks Javier!

No idea at all. Is about Initial evidence not about Additional evidence. So is something we are missing in the original packet.

We made a copy of everything we sent to know what were sending in case we forget with time and we don’t have a clue of what it can be.

Hopefully the letter will arrive soon and we will know. Looking forward is something easy.

So initial evidence is the same for additional evidence? Got the same email today

Our state ID follows I-94 expiration. It'd a bummer.

I really can't understand why most states don't let you renew your state ID based on your I-797C.  It makes more sense for the person trying to make a life here to be able to get their driver's license before work permission comes in, become comfortable in the country, do errands, etc...

Hope your petition goes smoothly and quickly so you can get your ID and driver's license soon!

Ok, so I've heard some weird things from my local Georgia DMV.  I'm sure they're not that familiar with the K-1 process so maybe it was just some other type visa that they had handled before.

I was told that there was something like an "extension of status" that can be used to renew my husband's state ID.  She said she had seen varying amounts of time it would extend it by (4-6+ months).  I'm guessing in the K-1's case that's renewing with the I-797C for 120 days, but is there some other way to get documentation of legal status for longer?  Maybe the 6 month is EAD?

No is not. From what I read INITIAL EVIDENCE it means something is missing or is wrong from the original packet we sent. ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE it means they need something else from the original packet.

Since I got the email on Thursday I’m guessing we will get the letter on Tuesday. It took 4 bussiness days for the other letters to arrive after the electronic alert

Hello all,

No update yet, my priority date was July 10th. I have received a yellow courtesy letter reminding me that i did not submit a I-693.

Has anyone else received this? It might not mean anything, but i'm hoping it means a step closer to getting the important EAD / notification of interview schedule.

In regard to the I-693, i deliberately decided not to file this as i assumed the green card process would take longer than 52 weeks (after which the medical evaluation expires). Does anyone have any advice on when to think about finalizing this? Who to contact? Likely costs?

Cheers

Hi guys! I just want to know if any of you has the same case like us. We filed AOS via USPS on August 29th and and now is Sept. 16 still haven't received any receipt notice, payments still not deducted also. But our packet was delivered when we tracked it. We are filing from NJ, is this normal? Why most people here got theur receipt notice within 10 days and ours is taking forever 😔.

Hey!

That's exactly my problem too, I'm adjusting status and waiting for EAD/AP but I thought it's enough to bring I-693 to the interview itself. Now, I am not sure because if they requested before, then it can delay EAD/AP.

Most people in this group are here with K1 visas, and they did their medical exams in their own countries. However, if you find answers to your question, would you mind posting them? It would be a great help. Thanks!

Same thing happened to us.  We sent by FedEx on June 24th and got notification of delivery on June 26th.   Called USCIS on July 19 when there was still no charge on the credit card and was told to call back the following week because they can’t even check until 30 calendar days has passed.  Got NOA by mail exactly 1 week later on the 30th day when I was going to call back.  Biometric appointment letter came pretty quick after that and had appointment at Detroit field office Aug 16. Felt the same way because some happen so quick and I thought our file had been lost once it arrived.
