Do you think it’s worth me trying to go in early for my biometrics appointment? Went on Friday at 3:20pm and guy turned me away and said to come back on the scheduled appointment but I’m out of town on that day so don’t know what to do?

Had my biometrics today at 8am in Phoenix. Went with my husband and they let him stay with me no problem. It was kinda slow but I'm guessing because of the hour, traffic, etc. It seemed really long but maybe it lasted like 30 minutes. Everyone was so nice, had picture taken (I look like I haven't slept for 4 days lol) but it was good to get that out the way. Now we wait 😊

Called, was suppose to receive a call back from a tier 2 agent that never mind. Spoke to another guy and said I should try go in early in the morning one more time, if they don’t let me do it then try reschedule it there or sent the letter back to request a new appointment. Just sucks because I want to get this over and done with so I can just wait for the interview date.

Would you mind posting the link of the different websites? I didn’t know there where two.

This is the old website, you can type in your case number and check the status right away - https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do;jsessionid=F16975E4625DF66B4E2A85E9ACABB20D

This is the new website, you need to create your profile in order to log in and check the status of the cases - https://myaccount.uscis.gov/

Finally got there to Atlanta, GA and took my Husband to get his biometrics done Today.

I let him in 30 mins early. He said when he got in, the officer help direct you to what form you need to know and you fill out what you need to do, when finished get a ticket and wait in line. Mostly waiting. He didn't get out until about 30 mins later.

Meanwhile I did saw a notice sign on the door saying if you arrive early for walk-ins, you must come back later or reschedule from the look of it. Couldn't take a pic because the guard constantly guarding the door.

I didn't go in because it look like the officer wouldn't want anyone else in so I avoided going in. I just carried the phone and walk around the stores nearby. Pretty hot day too.

So did your case status change from fingerprint review was completed to ready for interview?

My wife got her biometrics done yesterday and today the status changed to fingerprint review was completed.

Ah sweet, thanks for the info. By any chance do you know if the local field office reviews the application after biometrics? Or is that still in the hands of a bigger center like the California center?

Good for you! I’m in NYC too but I think I’ll be in the Queens office.

My case online didn’t update yet. Both websites.  And I had biometrics almost one month ago. I’ll probably call on Monday just to see what’s going on. I read it can take up to 6 weeks to update the website.

Queens is really fast, you should have your GC before end of the year!

I'm not sure exactly, maybe someone else can answer this? I'm assuming its not the local field office because NYC is really slow so no way they could have reviewed my application so fast, maybe it's the National Benefits Center (NBC)?
